I loved the whole series. I had seen the first movie and wanted to read all the books. I was not at all disappointed.

My parents had a box set of the Chronicles of Narnia when I was growing up. Some of my earliest memories are of them reading to my brother and me as we got ready for bed. Since then, I have enjoyed the BBC movies and recent Disney release. Now that I have children of my own, I wanted to share that element of my youth with them. In reading now, I have discovered that the storyline is strong enough to make for enjoyable, light reading for adults, as well.

the books were in bad shape not what i expected, very used. will not buy from that person again. its hard to say anything nice about the books. its even harder to write that many words. i expect books too be in better condition when i buy them they looked better in the pictures than they were when i recieved them. am learning how to look for bad books now, learned my lesson the hard way.bought them thinking they would be a seller at flea markets, but was wrong about that also.hope this is enough words.

This is a great series. I bought it becuase I was interested in reading the series after seeing "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." The book follows the movie almost exactly. I would recommend this series to anyone.

After seeing the movie, the books were the next step.They were each delightful.
I was sorry when I'd read the seventh and last one.

I bought the set because after reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, my son wanted to read the other books. I have been reading them out loud to my 4 and 6 year old. Usually they will color while I'm reading. I do have to summarize for them a lot as they are young for the books but I'm often surprised to find out how well my 6 year old is listening and understanding.

When my children were young, my husband and I were thrilled to find The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe plus 2 other videos based on C.S. Lewis' series at our local library. Since my children fell in love with these movies, I thought it would make for great family reading to engage ourselves head first into this whole series. From the first book to the last, we were all captivated. Having to end our reading for the night left us feeling much like a cliffhanger does in a very good movie. We love these stories! C.S. Lewis' books have definitely set the bar high. My children love to read and by holding other reading materials up to The Chronicles of Narnia standard have certainly encouraged them to seek out other books of equal expertise. I will certainly be sharing these stories with my grandchildren some day.

I bought the entire set of The Chronicles of Narnia on Ebay a few weeks ago. The books are great. I bought them for my daughter to read and enjoy. I recommend these books for for any age to read make a part of their library.
