I love these stories! They are quick, easy reads,great for plane trips. Fun characters and plots,very well set and told.

I have read almost all of the Cat Who....books. I intend to read them all. Lilian Jackson Braun is a excellent writer. I just wish she would write more books.

This will be a short review since the The Cat Who books are pretty short themselves and if you have read one, then you pretty much already know what you re getting. Short and sweet. The Cat Who Saw Red by Lillian Jackson-Braun is the third in a series of mystery books that is now headed for nearly thirty volumes. It s a series devoted to the sleuthing exploits of Jim Quilleran and his crime-solving cats. In this particular volume, Jim has decided to move into an artists colony (of a sort) and runs across an old flame of his who promptly disappears. Is it just a simple disappearance? Or...

Pros:
A great mystery that features cats in a new way.

Cons:
If you're not a cat person, you might not like it.

If you love cats, mysteries, or both, you'll love this book! The main characters are Jim Qwilleran (Qwill), a newspaper reporter with a sensitive mustache; Koko, a Siamese cat that seems to know more than the average cat; and in later novels (this is the first in the series) another Siamese called Yum Yum, who isn't as smart a Koko, and slightly cross eyed, but completely adorable. Mrs. Braun is a master at her craft. She weaves a mystery around a plot that always has an unexpected twist in such a way, that you can't help but get pulled into the world she creates.
