Pros: Dylan, up close and intimate...plus he rocks a bit, too
Cons: Some fans had to wait over a quarter of a century to hear it
The first question hardcore Bob Dylan fans will ask themselves is do I need ANOTHER live album that documents the man's Rolling Thunder Revue? Well, yes. Hard Rain, released in late 1976, documented the more harried Spring ' 76 portion of the tour-this album catches Dylan

The legend of Bob Dylan just grows bigger and bigger

Pros: It is Bob Dylan, it is Dylan live, and Dylan live at his best.
Cons: Cons? Bob Dylan??? You must be joking!
This is a must-buy for all fans of Bob Dylan, and for rock fans in general. The songs in this album were recorded live in the Worcester area of the USA in autumn 1975, just before Dylan released what was to be on of his best albums, "Desire". It is right in the middle of one of Dylan's most fruitful and creative periods, between the heartbreak of "Blood in the Tracks" and the exotic storytelling of "Desire". After recording the tracks that would form "Desire" he decided to play live again, in a pseudo-theatrical manner, in a traveling medicine show style, with some of his best friends: Joan...

Pros: passionate versions of songs that are nothing short of genuis.
Cons: none
Bob Dylan has always been somewhat of a question mark for music listeners of the 2000's. Songs like "Blowin in The Wind", "Like A Rolling Stone", "Tangled Up In Blue"...are what so many artists aspire to be, but to actually listen to bob dylan for those of us spoiled in the digital age is kind of hard. "Like A Rolling Stone" starts off with that rocking start? i am very dissapointed everytime i hear that start with out a huge surge of sound and bass that it would have been had the technology been better. Acousticly Dylan is still the best, and songwriters owe alot to him but if you want to...

Brilliance: 1975 s Rolling Thunder Revue Bootleg Series Vol. 5

Pros: The wonderful assemblage of songs that have astounding clarity and meaning.
Cons: None
Dylan s Live in 1975 is the 5th CD in his beloved Bootleg series. As with the others, this recording proves to be another prime example of what a live album should be. From its very first song, one will be hit with the brilliant way that Dylan reinterpreted and rearranged his songs for 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue, making it one of the most unique and mind-blowing musical events of all time. The tracks on this album represent Dylan and his entourage (Joan Baez, Bobby Neuwirth, Steve Soles, and many more ) from their prime. Unlike many other live albums, the clarity and pronunciation of their...

Pros: Almost everything.
Cons: One or two songs with Joan Baez. I don't like her.
About a month ago I bought Dylan's "Desire" album and instantly cherished it. The song that hit me the most was "Hurricane". I had never heard of Rubin Carter's story and read his biogrpahy soon afterward. I was desperate to find a live version of "Hurricane" and saw that "Live 1975" had one. I rushed out and bought it and was blown away. The entire 2-disc was great. It starts out with rock 'n' roll versions of "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here", "It Ain't Me", "Hard Rain", and "Hattie Carroll". The acoustic songs are powerful; my personal favorite is "Love Minus Zero/No Limit". "Hurricane" live..
