This is an EXCELLENT workout!! It kicked my behind! I keep yelling at Bob everytime I have to move. I am so sore! It gets your heart pounding, you sweat, and you are exhausted when it's over. Bob is my favorite trainer on the Biggest Loser so I'm a little partial. :) I can't wait until I am able to get through the entire DVD without stopping. That is a challenge! :) If you want to get in shape, lose weight, or just stay fit...this is an excellent workout video for those days you can't get to the gym.
I CONSIDER MY SELF IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE WITH A FEW EXTRA LBS. TO LOSE. I AM A 33 YEAR OLD WOMAN. I WEIGH 148 @ 5'6. MY NORMAL WORKOUTS CONSIST OF RUNNING 3-5 MILES OR THE ELLIPTICAL FOR 1 HR. 5-7 DAYS A WEEK. I FOUND THIS VIDEO AS VERY CHALLENGING & REWARDING. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A GREAT WORKOUT. YOU WILL NOTICE RESULTS VERY QUICKLY. I ALSO BOUGHT THE BODY SCULPTING AS WELL. BOTH KEEPERS!
I like that it is made for someone who is overweight and is not too difficult but not easy neither. I bought it becuase the price was lower here than I had previuosly seen. For someone who has not been in any good shape for a while the warm up and cool down were exhausting in itself at first, this DVD though lets you program it to run up to 3 workout routines in sequence as well as to add the warm up and cool down.. kind of tailored to meet your individual needs each time you use it. I recommned it to anyone with a weight problem. Also, I think the particular exercises used do more good with minimum effort. A+++++
I like this workout because you can choose whether you want to do 20 minutes or the entire 40 minutes of cardio depending on time constraints. I either do all three workouts together or combine individual ones with other DVDs I have. Jillian's workout is a good 10 minutes to really get your heart pumping. Bob's workout has alot of lunges to work your leg muscles. Overall, a good addition to my collection.
I have been working out for years now and struggling to keep weight off, and find it hard to find DVD's that can still challenge me. I started with the 2nd level of this workout not expecting much, and boy was I wrong. You get a great total body workout that burns fat and tones muscle. I was very impressed, I think a beginner could also do these starting with level one and progressing like the DVD suggest. I found the instructors easy to follow, and it was refreshing to see real people who have struggled with their weight doing the workouts and not stick skinny people in the background. I even felt sore after the first workout, which is a good sign to me. The instructors were encouraging also and not overly perky. You can't go wrong with this one.
This DVD is awesome...thought I was in good shape until I did this! This is a very motivating, energized set of workouts that will get you in shape quick!
I highly recommend this workout. I had been working out with other DVDs but wanted something different. After one day, my muscles were sore all over! This is a great workout for beginners as well as people who already have a workout regimen. You will definitely see results if you stick with this DVD! The workouts are easy to do and the time goes by so quickly. I exercise to this DVD about 3-4 times a week and am seeing great results!!!
This is an excellent cardi workout. Really neat feature allows you to build your own workout with warm up, three levels of cardio workouts and a yoga-based cool down. It is a serious workout, and really works your hamstrings and butt. I definately recommend this DVD workout.
cardio max is a great and challenging workout. it has 3 sections. you can do them separately or all together. I consider myself pretty advanced in my workouts and this one kicked my butt. I did all 3 together, or sometimes one plus some other strength moves. the first section is 20 mins, 2nd 10 and 3rd 10, so it's really not too much if you do them altogether. I wouldn't recommend trying all 3 though if you don't work out regularly. if you are a beginner, i would follow the recommendation of gradually building up over several weeks.
I have used the DVD a few times now. It is challenging but not to difficult that I can't keep up and therefore I feel as though I get a very good workout. I usually exercise to routines that go along directly with a song (more dance moves) but I enjoy the change and plan to use this one often.
I've read mixed reviews on this one. Some folks don't like the way that the trainers make fun of participants. If you've ever watched they show, you know that this is their style. I think it's light hearted and fun. Bob's section is great. HARD for a beginner though. I'd almost say that Level 3 should actually be Level 1. I like working out with the real people from the show too instead of super toned workout instructors posing as participants. Good workout for the entire body and more than just your average cardio with some weights and body resistance training.
I really like Bob- and the workout is great. I alternate it with Power Sculpting and feel it's pretty effective. I combine it with a walking program too. Graduating to the different levels is great, and having the shorter version available is a nice plus.
This is an excellent workout that includes a warm-up, 3 workouts, and a cool-down. The 3 workouts can be programmed by order, and you can do one, two or all three.
I did all three and it certainly got my heart-rate up. Great for beginners and advanced because you can choose the workouts and progress.
This workout was a lot of fun and challenging at the same time. You should definatley combine it with Power Scupt for a complete workout. I LOVE how you can select and create your own workout with time and type. I have suggested both DVD's to all of my friends.
For those of us who watch and like the TV show, The Biggest Loser, this DVD is a winner. The best feature by far is the customized menu, which allows you to start of at a more moderate pace, then increase your workout as you get more fit. Bonus that you get to see a lot of Bob, and some Biggest Loser alums, which makes you feel like an ordinary person can do this workout. And you can.
The workout is great....I was really sweating! I like that there are 3 sections and you can customize the workout. You can gradually work up to doing all 3 levels. Some of the moves are a little difficult to do, but most are fine. Only thing I don't really like is that the moves aren't really choreographed and the trainers don't really do the workout. So, it's hard to figure out what tempo to do the moves at, since the contestants were all going at different speeds. But, overall, I like this DVD and would recommend it to those who want to ramp up their workouts or want a great start to losing weight.
I've been doing this workout for 1 week and I can already see and feel results! I had read other reviews and most people loved it. Those who didn't felt the workout was too hard. I agree that many of the movements are tough, but the first trainer keeps reminding you to go at your own pace. He's very enjoyable to watch! Lots of great interaction between the participants, too, if you like that sort of thing. I do! When I first used the video I didn't like the music. There's no beat, it's just ambient. But now I appreciate it because it makes it easier to go at your own speed without worrying about keeping up with those with more experience.
The important thing to remember is that the people in the video have been doing this workout longer than you. Don't feel like you need to do it the same way! Use it as a template to get your body moving.

Not a bad video, lots of leg exercises that'll help with toning. The cardio level 1 and 3 are really good. jillian's version (cardio 2) really sucks as usual, just a bunch of running in place and hopping. if you do cardio 1 & 3 you should get a good workout.
I tried this out for free on cable's ondemand before buying. There are 3 programmable levels, beginner, advanced (adding 10 more intense minutes to the first) and intermediate. Easy to follow, does not take up alot of room in your home and has the real participants from the program. I like the new dvd's in that you combine weights if you want to get a more effective workout...and of course love the trainer Bob!
