The Best of The Wonder Years (1998, DVD)

This product was a little different than I expected. I ordered the DVD series thinking it was like what I had seen offered in stores but it turned out to be homemade DVD's someone had made off the Family Channel. THey had done a decent job editing out commercials and the DVD's themselves were professional looking but the picture was a little fuzzy when we viewed them. This was a Christmas gift for my daughter, something she really wanted so I was a little disappointed in it but she was OK with it and has been watching the DVD's without complaint. I think that the seller should make it clear when something is a homemade version upfront and the buyer can decide whether or not to take a chance on the product.

Sorry that a dealer deceived you, but "The Best of The Wonder Years" (and "The Christmas Wonder Years) as presented in the current auctions (mine, at least, which are the only ones I can truly vouch for) are the official releases from the LaserLight company. One might argue that, in a world where shows are released as full seasons, this DVD is hardly complete enough to call "The Best Of"... but until The Wonder Years gets these fuller releases, this is all that's out there (and OUT OF PRINT, not available in stores). From what I've heard, they are currently stuck in the tedious and expensive process of securing the rights to the original songs used in the original broadcasts of the episodes.
