I recently went to a Joe Cocker concert and wanted to get the CD. He was so great in concert; and this CD is a reminder of how much I enjoyed the concert.
A nice all-purpose CD, no complaints about the songs on it. What's missing however are "Cry Me a River" and "The Letter" (live). Having either would have raised this rating to 5 star. Oh well, at least the live "With a Little Help From My Friends" made the cut.
Most excellent music. I play it while I do yardwork, also known as exercise...yuck. Some of the songs are good for resting like "now that the magic has gone" and some make me move more than I normally would like "Unchain my heart"
You Can Leave Your Hat On = dancing wherever you're seated. Joe Cocker has some awesome music, but for some reason, this song never made the Hit List. I bought this CD solely for this song. Give it a listen ...
I absolutely adore this cd. Love Love Love, 'You can leave your hat on', hehehheeh... Actually, I love every song on it. Joe Cocker is phenom. He's always been one of my favorite artists. Joe Cocker and his music are timeless. This is one of the best cd's I've every owned, and the price I paid was wayyyy low... Thanks so much......... hunybunny97

Pros: Gruff vocals, songs that seep into your heart.
Cons: Track 7 and 11 leave me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
You can't walk into my house without seeing my love for Joe Cocker. Well, unless I already had you hogtied and blindfolded before I opened the door. I have a strange obsession with a man that sets my heart afire. While it's not anything like the addiction to Steve Martin article I read. It sure is close. I'm not quite sure if it's the English accent, or that his songs really appeal to me. Heartbreak, love, stripping for a mate. Joe Cocker besides having a really nifty name (IMHO) makes songs that I treasure. Some of you might have witnessed him at Woodstock. I was not one of those people. It..
