I gave this book as a gift to a friend who makes the best beef stew with beer and also beer biscuits as a go along. Just looking through all the recipes from Anheuser-Busch will make you wonder why we don't cook with beer more often. It really adds a lot of flavor from sides to main dishes and they even have a section for desserts! Wow! The company tells you what beers go best with what foods when cooking and even when just drinking. My friend already has tried the Ale Baked Beans for a potluck and they were a great hit. There are also lots of grilled and roasted dishes plus the book has some super vintage ads and fascinating trivia. Dishes next on her list are the Beechwood Smoked St. Louis Strip and the Warm Artichoke & Amber Bock Dip.
