Pros:
Nice try
Cons:
Nice tries finish last
The number of laughs per minute (LPM) in the big-screen The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle will depend on three things: 1. Your Pun Tolerance Level (PTL). As anyone who has read a few of my epinions can attest, mine is pretty high, pegging in at about a 9 PTL. 2. Whether or not you saw George of the Jungle or Dudley Do-Right and whether or not you hated them. I did and I did. 3. The amount of real imitation butter flavoring in your Tub o Popcorn. Okay, so maybe this isn t a factor, but greasy fingers never make a good experience out of a bad one. Is The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle..

The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000)
Review created: 07/04/00

Pros:
clever, funny, good performances
Cons:
would have been better at 75 to 80 minutes
Not being a die hard fan of the original cartoon series, I was still looking forward -- possibly through half-covered eyes -- to The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. This anticipation, however, was not in an eager, can't wait 'til it opens kind of way, but more akin to the way one would look forward to seeing a car accident. That is: I didn't really want to see it, but I knew I wouldn't be able to look away. How pleasantly surprised I am to report that it's really not a bad film at all, though it will by no means appeal to everyone. Just those who give it a fair chance. Robert Deniro...

Hail Hail Rocky And Bullwinkle!

Pros:
Actors, both real and animated
Cons:
TV series is better
It's been a pleasant surprise to see the successful adaptation of the cartoons of Jay Ward to the big screen, and in live action. "George Of The Jungle" was a delight three years ago. Now, lightning has struck twice with "The Adventures Of Rocky And Bullwinkle." The people responsible for these movies, I suppose, are a lot like me - fans of the series who have loved the pun-based humor and the satire of Cold War politics. The Cold War, of course, is long over, but the spies of Pottsylvania still long for world domination. The fall of the Iron Curtain has driven Boris, Natasha, and Fearless...

So bad on so many levels.

Pros:
Jay Ward's classic source material. That's all. Nothing else.
Cons:
That this entire concept wasn't sh*tcanned from the start.
OK, I've seen a LOT of movies throughout my life. That's not to say that I've necessarily seen more than YOU, but let's just say that a video rental store is completely useless to me, except for the New Release section. It is there that I dig through the true dreck; those films that not even "I" would see in a theater. My general rule of the New Release section is this: If you haven't seen it, you must rent it. There. That explains why I rented this putrid and moronic piece of garbage. I've said it before and I'll (undoubtedly) say it again: There is nothing in the world of cinema more...
