When a horrifying attack leaves one of the four members of the Women's Murder Club struggling for her life, the others fight to keep a madman behind bars before anyone else is hurt. And Lindsay Boxer and her new partner in the San Francisco police department run flat-out to stop a series of kidnappings that has electrified the city: children are being plucked off the streets together with their nannies-- but the kidnappers aren't demanding ransom. Amid uncertainty and rising panic, Lindsay juggles the possibility of a new love with an unsolvable investigation, and the knowledge that one member of the club could be on the brink of death. And just when everything appears momentarily under control, the case takes a terrifying turn, putting an entire city in lethal danger. Lindsay must make a choice she never dreamed she'd face--with no certainty that either outcome has more than a prayer of success.
I'm a huge fan of James Patterson's work and also a huge fan of the Women's Murder Club! So if you want to have several hours of non-stop action and female conversation pick it up!!
Completed my series 1 thru 7 These are great books by James Patterson and are written about the Womens Murder Club. Some of you might have seen the TV series. All of James Patterson's books are great.
Another great book by James Patterson!! I love it! I was so into this book that I stayed up all night and finished it. The ending is just as exciting as the beginning.
THIS SERIES IS FANTASTIC! I READ THIS BOOK IN ONE SITTING. JUST COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN! I LOVE HIS GROUP OF WOMEN AND ,AS USUAL, HIS PLOT KEEPS YOU ON EDGE UNTIL THE VERY END.
I just finished reading the 7th book of the Women's Murder Club series, and I'm so disappointed that there isn't an 8th one out yet! "6th Target" was a wonderful addition to the series. I read the first book as an assignment for a senior reading class in high school, and since then, I've ordered them one-by-one online because I can't stay away. The suspense is great, and I've found myself to be up to ridiculous hours for many nights saying, "Ok, just one more chapter..." (Which, by the way, obviously never works.) Definitely would recommend the entire series to anyone. What a page-turner!
i have just started reading this book an loveing very bit i have alll his book for the frist to this one here an i can't stop reading it hard to but his book down after geting in two his story keep wanting to know more .
I love James Patterson's book on the Woman's Murder Club, and the Alex Cross series. He is an excellent read. He has nice short unexpected chapters so that if you are trying to read just a little bit at night before going to bed you can read a couple of short chapters but then you lay there and think I wonder what happened next and when you find yourself not going right to sleep turning the light by on and reading a couple of others. You are able to step right into the characters lives and it seems to be happening to you.
This is a a great book from the Women's murder club series by James Patterson. The book has a great plot with 3 stories combined in this book. One being Claire being shot and the shooter being caught with Yuki as the prosecuter. Then, there are the children being kidnapped along with their nannies with Lindsay investigating. Plus, Cindy has a killer in her apartment complex which Lindsay help's to solve. I enjoyed reading this book.
Boxer is heavily involved in the investigation of a senseless mass murder on a touristferry, which leaves her best friend Claire Washburn, clinging to life and gives Yuki Castellano the opportunity to try her first murder case. Boxer is also investigating the kidnapping of the small child of an important and influential San Francisco couple. Meanwhile, reporter Cindy Thomas finds her apartment building is the target of violence and vandalism that seems to be escalating. One case solves itself easily. The second case, only the reader knows the identity of the perpetrator, and Boxer and Thomas slowly determine who is terrorizing Thomas's complex. The third case I will leave to the reader to figure out = ) Another great book by James Patterson! The Women's Murder Club series has fast become one of my favorite sets of reading material. I am headed onto the last installment 7th HEaven, I am sure it will be as great as the last 6! Now if he could only write 3-4 a year = )
I absolutely love most of James Patterson's books. And, The Women's Murder Club series has been my favorite until this book. I couldn't wait to receive the book and read it as I am used to his books being fast paced and suspenseful. I was very disappointed in this book of the series as it lacks suspense and is actually boring throughout most of the book. The characters are dull and the book skips around to several cases, none of which are very exciting or interesting. I am hoping that this was just a fluke and the next book will once again keep the reader in suspense throughout.
James Patterson does some of his best writting for the Murder Club series. The characters are interesting and the story lines very creative, yet believable. If you enjoy CSI and detective novels, you will definitely want to read all of the Murder Club stories. While the characters for the TV Series "Murder Club" are taken from the Muder Club books, the stories are different. I'm looking forward to #7 due out this year.
very fast delivery, thank you. Thanks for shipping it so fast. This book came in an extremely good quality. This book was very interesting and kept my attention for the entire book.
I am almost finished with The 5th Horseman and wanted to have The 6th Target ready to devour next. The Murder Club series by James Patterson is great reading. I purchased the "gently used" book at a great price. The seller took excellent care, book looks brand new. Everything about this transaction was perfect.
I am a huge fan of Patterson's books, especially the Women's Murder Club. If you love suspense, intrigue, and twist endings.....these are the books for you!!
I bought this book because I have read the rest of the Murder Club series and found them to be well written, and unique in their plot. I have read many of James Patterson's books and find him to be a master of suspense. I love to get lost in a good book and the Murder Club series offers intense, realistic mystery that draws you in and keeps you turning the pages. If you have an appetite for mystery you will find "The 6th Target" very satisfying.
I love James Patterson books, both series on Detective Cross as well as the Murder Club. While I liked this one, it seemed to jump around too much. It is always interesting to have several cases going on and interjection in their personal lives, this book seemed to wander more than most.
