Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Graphic Calculator

I bought 2 of these actually, the first cause i needed a calculator, the second because my first one got stolen. That should say two things, one that it is good enough to be stolen, and two that it is good enough for me to buy a second one.

For the money, this calculator is a great deal. It has plenty of memory, great screen clarity, great battery life, and the controls are fairly easy to get used to.

There are plenty of games you can find to add to the calculator, also its data cable is a simple mini-usb cable so if it doesn't come with one, or you loose it, its very easy to replace.

This calculator has almost 8 times the memory that the TI-83 has which means you can store more games, apps, and files on this calculator then the previous TI-83.
The TI-84 plus has great screen clarity, its very easy to read during low light situations and outdoor light situations.

Texas Instruments is the most popular brand of graphing calculators currently out there which means that you can transfer files between pers easily, and you can figure out problems easier than if you had a no name brand.

All in all, the TI-84 is a brilliant addition to the Texas Instuments Graphing Calculator family, and a worthwhile tool to anybody in school or work.

The TI-84 is pretty much just like the last one (TI-83). Same functions, just different look. I decided to buy it because my stats instructor said we needed it, but I could have just used the one I have.

I am a math teacher. The TI-84 plus graphic calculator is a must in high school math. I picked the pink one because it is easy to find with a classroom full of students who are using yellow or black calculators.

Remember when buying a calculator online. YELLOW calculators are sold to educational institutes only. If you see one being sold on ebay, it was probably stolen from a school.

Calculator came in time as promised. Shipping cost somewhat pricy. The calculator itself was in good condition, I can see it was used by child. Cover for it was somewhat dirty, I cleaned it off, inside cover, underneath was the name of who ever had it last. Batteries did not work, changed them also. This was a gift for my granddaughter, so I did Not have the time to communicate with seller about discrepancies. Kind of in a hurry to send it off to her. I don't think I'll buy another "used" product from this seller again. Sorry.

The shipping was super fast and the calculator was just as promised!! Will be buying more products in the future. Great Ebayer!! A++++

Calculator is a little banged up, but I did get a great price for one of the more expensive pieces of hardware out there.

accepted me when i told him, that i bought it by mistake. he was completly cooprative.i was shopping around to see calculators prices. my friend by mistake pressed on buy and then this guy was cooprative in solving the problem.

About a month ago, I purchased a TI-84 Plus calculator. The buttons are placed better than the 83's. It is very comfortable and easy to use. I needed an updated personal calculator that is like what my high school math students will have this fall. I will be able to help the students with questions now whether I'm in class or at home. Great Buy!

This calculator was everything we expected and more. The teacher at my grandsons school said that this is just what he needs for his math and science classes.

I needed to buy a graphing calculator for college. I decided to go with the TI-84 instead of the 83 because of the extended features. The 83 is good but I might as well buy one to last me through calculus. I bought the 84 in pink and I love it! Its super cute and I get lots of compliments. I would recommend this calculator to everyone who is in Algebra or Calculus. This calculator has tons of features I will probably never use but I guess its better to have and not need.

These have turned out to be a great decission by Texas Instruments. It would seem hard to upgrade the reliable TI 83 plus, but they've done it.

Things you should know before bidding or buying a TI 84.
1. The manual can be downloaded for free from Texas Instruments. You do not need to buy the paper or CD manual.
2. Be sure to get the USB and calculator to calculator cables. These are invaluable. You can download fun and useful programs from online or share with other calculators. They are also a great tool to upgrade and trouble shoot your calculator.
3. Avoid calculators with any scratches or pressure marks (dark spots) on the screen. These are a sign of a poorly maintained calculator. They also usually get worse with time.

I can't really write a valid review since the item I ordered and purchased was never received. My children needed such calculator for school classes and had to settle for using the ones in class. I was not willing to pay retail price for one at home. Since I never received what I ordered, I'm still in the market for such item.

The seller was a very fast shipper. Good description. I needed the item for school.I would buy from seller again if ever needed. Recomended.

I have used one before and really like this type of calculator.

An excellent calculator that is easy to use and easy to program. It has many applications that are so useful for any college student. It is approved by universties unlike the TI-89. I was using a TI-86 but since I received the TI-84 I have not even touched the other clculator and now all it does is collect dust.

Well, I bought the calculator on May 12, 2008 and it is June 10, 2008 and I still haven't received it. The buyer did tell me it had been sent but I don't think the mailing process should take that long.

I bought TI-84 plus Graphic calculator for my daughter month ago, she likes very much. I'd recommend the TI-84 Plus Graphic Calculator if you're on a budget.

I bought this for my neice who needed it for exams. She thinks it's great because it is easy to use. There is also free support available on the texas instruments website. It was wonderful to find it on ebay for such a great price!

He loves that it's USB
He says it can do anything, he's a manufacturing engineer and used it for everything with his job... He says it was a great gift and he's very impressed with it.
Dislikes: Some of the software wants to override things on your computer but he has ways around that when installing.

I needed the calculator for my calculus class. I was running out of time and there was no way that I wanted to pay full price. Texas Instrument calculators are expensive!

The calculator arrived in a timely manner and the condition was pretty much new. There was one slight smudge on the calculator's face, but I can't even find it anymore. Everything that was listed as being shipped was shipped. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought this for my son who will be a freshman in highschool next year and it is a requirement to have this calculator. The cover is scratched a little but it will serve its purpose and beat paying for a new one. Thank you,

Hi! As the mother of five daughters, two of which are currently in college, one graduated...and two in high school, I can promise you that this is the calculator that will see you through high school and college. My daughters love the graphing ability and wouldn't (couldn't) go a day without it. I just bought another one for the daughter that is starting high school next fall. It is worth every dime and you won't be disappointed. The batteries are triple AAA and last a long time. It has additional abilities on the computer but we haven't had the desire or need to use them. Please feel free to write me and ask any questions. They have all taken Algebra I, II, and Geometry. They have not gone through to Calculus.
