Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Graphic Calculator

The TI-83 Plus is an outstanding calculator for the k-12 classroom "and" the college student entering any mathematical field!! Whoever wrote the review that this is not a valid calculator for calculus and beyond has not had any experience with this machine!! I had a TI-85 in my college undergraduate (Math) and it is equivalent to the TI-83 of today (more features now). At any rate, most calculus and beyond will need an integration tool to crunch numbers and minimize time (such as mathematica) and so the TI has limits as any of the calculators do.

The TI-83 Plus integrates as well as any handheld tool available!!

my daughter needed it for school and they are expensive at the store. She loaned her first one to a friend who lost it (and couldn't replace it) and we had to purchase another one. We saw it on e-bay and won the bidding. To our surprise and delight we got it for $53.00 which was a great deal. It was shipped quickly and it was delivered in great shape. It is just what she needed. The model was in excellent shape. Looked and works just like the first one we bought at the store brand new. Texas Instruments TI-83 plus Graphic Calculator will not only see my daughter through her pre calculus class this year but she can take it to college with her next year. These calculators are built to stand up to lots of work and will last her a long time. and no, she won't be loaning this one to anybody.

It is the required calculator for my children in school. We already own two, but needed one for the third child to use in school.

This is somewhat of a complex calculator but a must have for high school students these days. The kids seem to be more in tune with how it works than I am. I now have 2 in high school and another to follow next year and they all seem to be happy with the calculator.

TI 83+ owns the market, schools and colleges require it, textbooks use it in their examples. Luckily, it is a good calculator. The guys at TI know how to make a calculator, and seem to be just as good at marketing!!

Great item for Jr. High and High School alegbra. Students learn to check their answers with this calculator and to graph problems. Can be used for several years of algebra!!

This is a good calulator for any higher math class. It can graph functions, intercepts, and can evaluate matrix functions.

this calculator is good for its price (ebay price, not retail) buy it refurbished and save yourself some money

It does the job and helps on tests/homework. Although it does not have as many features as I would enjoy, it definitely helps me get the job done!

IS CHEAPER AND DOES SAME THING AS BRAND NEW ONE. WHEN SON WILL LOSE IT ANYWAY IN A FEW MONTH NO NEED TO BUY NEW.

I received the item in good time, the seller answered my questions within a day, but the calculator didn't have a case. The description said that the calculator came with the front case, but I didn't receive it. The calculator works fine though.
