I was looking for a TI-83 when I bought the BA-II Plus. The TI-83 was for my grandson, the BA-II is for myself. I really like the calculator. It is well worth the money I paid for it. It was in good cosmetic condition and functions perfectly. It performs financial calculations such as interest accrual,amortization,and using given factors can calculate monthly payments, apr, total of payments, etc. This calculator can be a very helpful tool, and at a fraction of the price it would cost at a retail store. I am very pleased with this transaction, especially since everything went so smoothly. I paid with PayPal, a very secure and fast way of transacting business, and look forward to many more such transactions.

The calculator has a very low quality. The number on the screen is not clear at all. No matter how you look at it, you can't differentiate between 0 and 8!!!

It is marginal for a financial calculator, and woefully inadequate for a scientific calculator. Not a good choice for either. The only positive attribute it has, is that it is relatively cheap!

meh, its a business calculator, how exciting could it be? does its job. Pretty standard stuff here. you'll need this if you take accounting.

I bought the finance calculator a few weeks ago for my intermediate finance class. The calculator is great! It allows me to do all the finance calculations I need to do. It's easy to use. I think Texas Instruments products are some of the top of the line ones as far as calculators go. I am very impressed with the quality of my calculator and all its functions. I would recommend this calculator for anyone taking finance classes or doing financial calculations.

I got this calculator for my Financial Management class. It's a great little calculator and I would recommend it to anyone who has to take a Finance class or compute present or future values of bonds, etc.

The calculator works perfect, got the highest grade in my class!!! I like the calculator. It is wasy to use and I have not had any problems.

I got a very good price for a used calculator. It works well and I received it promptly in the mail. It was packaged well also.

This calculator has most of the capabilities for a financial person and it is approved for professional exams, CFA. It has a nice hard cover to protect it as with most TI calcultors, except for TI BAII Plus Professional.
HOWEVER, please do not expect it to be a easy to change the battery. You will be assured that your calculator will get ding when it comes time to change your battery.
Also, please don't expect to view the values you have entered for your variables all at once....like how you can see a bunch of values on a regular TI-83/84/89 display, because you just can't on a one line display with this calculator! And everytime you need to do a fresh calculation, it is a pain to have to hit "2nd" + "clear work" before starting because it is set up just the way it is. Aside from being the "approved" calculator you can bring to the exam, it is another piece of junk set to collect dust at the end of the day.
Stick with your regular TI 83/84/89 for all your non-exam use because the Financial Application has all there is you need.

Works great. Accomplished all financial and accounting tasks necessary to get me through two full years of Finance, Tax, and Accounting at my university. Easy to use and learn.

had an HP 12C prior to this...and let me tell you, TI is much better as it's much easier to use! If you're used to scientific calculators, get the HP. If not, then TI would be more straightforward.

I have used this calculator for some business classes and it has worked great! This is a fantastic Calculator for finance type calculations!

Good points :
- robust, I can put it in a fully loaded bag without worrying about my calculator button damaged because of the hardcover.
- easy to use
- ergonomic

need to be improved :
- functionalities can be added just like the professional version, I would like to buy the professional version if it had the hardcover just like the BA-II Plus
- the button is not as good as my keyboard. Sometimes I skip a number because I did not press the button hard enough.
