I thought the game was brand new, but it turned out to have a password to some of the levels, which ment that it had been played before. Very disappointed. Shipping was excellent.
Texas Hold'em is a pretty fair game. It is reasonably entertaining but it could be better. The password feature is annoying, you cannot save you game you have to write down a password the at is 15 or 20 characters long. If you are looking for a basic game that allows you to play Texas Hold'em this one will work. If you can find a better game for more money then invest the extra money and buy the better game if not this game will work in a pinch.
Although I like this product it's designed for Nintendo Game Boy Advance and not Nintendo DS. It doesn't have very good graphics etc and you can't use the stylus on the touch screen.
I bought this game to make some practice playing Texas Hold'em and I found what I need. The game is perfect if you want to learn Texas Hold'em, it's easy to use and it has many options. But if you are an expert player the game could be too simple.
I bought this game about a month ago. It is a lot of fun to play. The only thing that I don't like about the game is that if you play with more than one other player, the screen changes every time it shows the other players cards. I know the screen is little but you could still put all the players hands on the screen at the same time.
I love Texas Hold 'Em and play it alot at the casinos. I love this game also, it is great when I have nothing to do at work. The only thing I wish, is that you start out with more money like the other players. The small amount, just doesn't seem fair, but it was worth the money. I would buy it again if I lost mine or broke it for losing...LOL.
Being a beginner at playing poker, I enjoy being able to learn the game playing against a computer. It's helped me to develop a strategy that has proven to work well when playing in an actual game. I don't like that you can't save your game to continue later. All in all, it's a good addition to my gameboy collection. Now, if I could just figure out which slot the money comes out of... :)
We purchased the game because it was inexpensive compared to buying just an electronic hand-held Texas Hold'em game. We already owned the Game Boy. We like it's tournament features. However, we don't like that it requires you to write down a very long code to access the next level of the tournament, each time you advance. It would seem a bit easier if it just allowed you to enter your name and save where you're at versus the code process. It seems to be fairly accurate on how the winning hand(s) goes, though sometimes we have questioned its decisions.
I bought this item for my husband to play in the car on long trips. He loves this game. He has one in Xbox as well. So, I thought he would like one that is portable and can be played anywhere.
This is a good game, @ times too long before each tournament is over. Wish you could save the game during tourneys. And not have to wait or shut it off. but the game is great.
I really enjoy watching Celebrity Poker Showdown on the Bravo channel. It is very entertaining and looks like fun to play. I think I will enjoy playing it on my Game Boy.
