Rare game and got it cheaper than I could imagine. Worth every penny I didnt spend and then some :) No doubt I would have not found this product in any store in my area, much less any area and pristine brand new still sealed in original packing.

The Game was Pretty Good, But bit low on the Graphics
Review created: 02/04/08
by:

The Game was made while PsP n Wii were no where to be found, n no one heard of the X Box yet, Ps 2 just came out n all the graphic hype just buried this gem in the back ground, I missed it so much I bought it again to play it, alone with FF 7, though all the excitement was still there, I am not ready for the tone downed graphics anymore after looking at PsP n xbox 360 graphics, but for anyone who remembered, this is one of game to go get, Just for Old time sake ^^

Simulation Ninja Particolarmente Curata E Molto Violent
Review created: 07/07/06(updated 10/14/06)

La versione JAP è chiamata ->TENCHU 1 AYAKUSEN<- o ->TENCHU 1 SHINOBI GAISEN<- e la versione USA è chiamata ->TENCHU 1 THE STEALTH ASSASINS<- o ->TENCHU 1 THE RETURN(er) OF THE ... [ SHINOBI GAISEN / STEALTH ASSASINS ]<- /// (^_^) Non mi resta che AUGURARVI BUONA FORTUNA E ATTENTI A DOVE METTETE I PIEDI !!! --->Utente eBay: Scissor1979<---

A superb continuance of the Tenchu series!

This game does everything the original did, ONLY BETTER! You Continue as Rikimaru or Ayame, except now they are full fledged Ninja's! They take on new tasks and new enemies in a beautiful environment (for 2000) and kill them with new stealth moves and cutscenes.

Story, controls and gameplay are all very good in this installment. Nothing new there! Still superb! The new boards in this game are excellent and you must really use your wits to be sneaky. The music is still the very best of feudal Japan!

This is a must-have addition to the Tenchu series! It's still an awesome game 6 years later!

By the time you read this title, they could decapitate you.

Pros:
improved graphics, voice acting, longer game play

Cons:
bad camera angles...bane of all 3rd person games.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, oh yes! Those cool guys covered in masks from the B-rated 80 s movies are back, but not on the blue screen (they tried that too with Hunted but movie wasn t popular enough for a follow up). Few years back, unknown actor Sho Khosugi did a little Ninja management for a game called Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. Although Tenchu didn t create a hype before its arrival like Final Fantasy 7 did, it was definitely one of the best games released for a console. Practically, Tenchu was Lara Croft meets Tribes meets Thief -- a game played from a third person view, except 100% dependent...

Tenchu 2: So you wanna be a Ninja...
Review created: 10/07/00
by: Mordred -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Really cool ninja moves

Cons:
Overall difficult and can be very frustrating

My wife and I just recently got the new Playstation game Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins. Considering that I've always wanted to be a ninja, I figured this game would help out my assassination techniques a little too. We've been playing it just about non-stop but it hasn t always been the best experience. Introduction to the game I like to review my games from the top down so I'll start with the intro. I have to say that the intro animation is one of the coolest I've ever seen in a Playstation game. It's a little over a minute long and features some pretty impressive animatics. Sure..

Tenchu 2: How to Donkey Up a Sequel
Review created: 08/12/00
by: Daystorm -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Bigger levels, mission editor, stronger storyline, FMV's

Cons:
Game play flat out sucks, graphics flat out suck, music is non-existent, just a bloody poor sequel

(Sorry about the repost, but I want to put this in the right spot.) When Tenchu appeared quietly in the Playstation gaming community a few years ago, it set a new standard in the video gaming experience. It introduced a new brand of adventuring, breaking the mold of first person shooters and creating a new genre of stealth and strategy. Oh, yes. It was a great game and highly underrated, overshadowed by Metal Gear Solid (A game I simply couldn't stand). So when Activision released Tenchu: Shinobi Gaisen, the sequel, in Japan, I waited with bated breath until it arrived here in the States. At..

  The Way of the Ninja
Review created: 11/30/00
by: The_HTML_Man -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
3 characters, lots of killing, tons of levels, level editor

Cons:
Quirky camera, many glitches, redundant gameplay

Activision is a company that is struggling to make a come back. At one point it was a top company making top quality games. Then it kind of died off and made not so good games. With Tenchu and Tenchu 2 they have shown people that they once again would like to make it to the top. Tenchu 2 is the sequel to Tenchu, a stealth/ninja game that required patience and careful planning of moves. Tenchu 2 had a lot to strive for because as a sequel it had to come up with new innovative features and still keep the same gameplay. It did succeed in both aspects. Activision has made a very good sequel to...

  Stealth Killing: Pyjama Style
Review created: 12/05/00
by: jesus_sandals -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
It's still got that classic Tenchu playability

Cons:
The sound, the graphics, the level design... what happened to it??

Activision show they can make sequels, one quick glance at a copy of their other big hit Tony Hawk's Pro Skateboarding 2 should confirm that. Yet I can't shake the feeling that this sequel has somehow changed for the worse. It's still a great game but if Activision spent half as much time improving this as they did Tony Hawk's, we could be looking at a Metal Gear Solid beater. But, unlike Rikimaru's wonderful black pyjamas which are still present here, everything seems to have been given an overhaul and come out worse. Graphics This was many the bane of the Tenchu gamer; and let's admit it,..
