TaylorMade r7 quad Driver Golf Club

I recently upgraded from the 580 to the R7. The first round of golf proved several things to me:

1. The R7 head was more narrow and visually appeared to be less forgiving, yet, I was able to hit more shots dead on the sweet spot that I did with the wider face of the 580. Shots hit dead on the sweet spot will go about 30 yards farther than shots that miss the center by one ball width. In other words, hitting the sweet spot has an immediate reward.

2. The X-Stiff shaft in the R7 was clearly superior to the 580 X-stiff; I could really feel the acceleration and flex through the hitting zone--but--it still provides a lot of control.

3. The adjustable weight feature will never be adjusted by me. I suppose it might have some value, but anyone that is a good enough ball striker to consistently hit a straight, draw or fade shot probably doesn't need to move the weights. Anyway, I don't see the value in that yet.

4. The first time I played with this driver, I immediately liked the performance improvements in terms of accuracy, feel and distance when compared to the 580 (which I also liked). The R7 definitely makes a difference and I've never regretted (or bad-mouthed) this driver since the first time I hit it.

Shipping was very fast. However pop up marks on crown were not mentioned in description. Not a big deal but..

Haven't hit the club a tone yet, but so far I love it. Mine is 7.5* with an extra-stiff shaft. It is super deep!! Head is not ginormous so it doesn't trick your eyes when addressing the ball. The weight system does wonders. I played around with it and it did just as it said (fade, draw, more draw, etc). The r7 is a great club and I recommend it to anyone wanting to up there game. I had an older Nike model that I hit about 315 average, but from the little I have hit this I have a feeling I will be averaging 330 or so. Awesome club!!

BETTER THAN ADVERTISED. CLUB DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSE TO DO. THE ABILITY TO ADJUST THE CLUBS PERFORMANCE IS FAR MORE EASILY ACCOMPLISHED THAN THE USE OF LEAD TAPE AS WAS THE ONLY PREVIOUS ALTERNATIVE. THE MOVEABLE WEIGHT DESIGN IS AS EFFICIENT AS THE ABILITY OF ADJUSTING LOFT AND LIE ON FORGED IRONS. A PLAYER CAN "CUSTOMIZE FIT" THE PRODUCT.

What i like about the club is just the first time using it, i have put another 20yds of distance to my drives, There is no more slicing teeing off. This club goes straight as an arrow. The price was well worth it.

I purchased the club because I was interested in playing around with the movable weights. The service from the seller was great. I am very satisfied.

The club is excellent, allows you to adjust the club to fit your swing instead of searching for thr perfect match.

Love the movable weights. Can change the flight of the ball pending the weather or course conditions for that day without having several drivers. Large sweet spot, hard to not hit center of face.

The Product is great. Seller great. Best deal. Shipping USPS is the worst, there is no tracking. Now UPS and FED X all have great tracking systems.Some sellers should look into to them. Overall still a good way to buy.

I like the contact feel when hitting the R7 Quad better than the R5 that I've been hitting. When I hit the sweet spot it pays off with an additional 25-30 yards. I really like this club and would recommend it.

I've seen golfers of all ability with this club in their bag. I personally love it. I usually reshaft all my clubs. I put a Pershing 65R in mine and it is a straight and long driver. A great feel amd sound. Very solid and versitile. Love to change to weights to fit my desire. You'll like it too.

Price and condition were a big factor in decision to buy. Very satisfied and it travels 10 to 15 yards farther than my other driver, and i even draw it a bit.

I had a Taylor Made R7 driver with a 425cc head and liked the ability to move weight around the club to fit my swing. I wanted to go to a larger head that employed the same technology. That is why I bought the 460cc Taylor Made driver. I am very satisfied with the club. This driver helps me correct a slight slice that I have in my swing. I feel very confident hitting this club with the larger head and it is more forgiving on off-center hits.
