CD was great, album cover was in great condition. CD itself was impeccable! Was very surpirsed to see a CD this age in such good quality! Good speedy dispatch!
the product was in wonderful condition. i got what i asked for at a great price. the packaging was good. i liked that a lot. the album was secure. nothing was broken. hardly any scratches. did not look new, but it looked slightly used. that was a major plus. i decided to buy this cd because i am trying to get the prince collection. buying cd's at 10 to 20 dollars a piece gets very expensive, but having the original from ebay was worth waiting for.
Thanks for doing ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overbusiness
I had originally mis-placed this cd & ment to purchase again for some time. This cd is truely "one" of his best works and I'm glad to have purchased it from you in excellent condition. Thank you for the sale and your timely delivery.
The CD was in excellent condition, and did not have any scratches on it. Great condition for a used CD. The seller also sent the CD in a timely manner.
I love this one, it actually had to grow on my however, that was the first time this had happened to me with Prince material. I always loved whatever was released automatically somehow. Not this one, but once it did grow on me, it was all over and this is a favorite, just as much as the others before it. Listen particularly to "The Morning Paper" & "Love to the 9's". The words so touch you deep down someplace and the music propels it to that place

Purify Yourself in the Muddy Waters of Prince's "Symbol" Album

Pros: There's some great music in here...
Cons: ...if you can tolerate the wrongheaded attempts at rap and the silly skits.
How many artists do you know of that still have something to say once their album output drifts into the double digits. Particularly in this age of disposable music, who thinks Britney Spears will last 10 albums? Yeah, I thought so. Minneapolis native Prince has made interesting (and mostly, good-to-excellent) albums through 28 years and as many albums. With a style drawn from years of listening to diverse bands like Santana and Sly

The Symbol Record, by Prince and the New Power Generation
Review created: 11/09/02

Pros: All songs except 1 or 2 were written BY PRINCE
Cons: "Sweet Baby"
So how do you review a record when you can't even say the name of the thing? Who names a record a symbol anyway? Then again, who makes that same symbol their own name a year later? Prince does. I bought this record on my 20th birthday, but it was days before I got to sit down and really listen to it. Around this time my future wife and I were looking for an apartment and moving in together, so I was a little busy. But when I finally did get to sit through the record start to finish, I loved it. Still do. Not every song is great, there's still way too many raps on here. The first song--and...

Making angels in the snow

Pros: 10 absolutely gorgeous songs
Cons: and some filler
The problem with long concept albums is that few artists are able to deliver 14 and more top-notch songs at a stretch. In spite of that every decade has seen those who had aspired. We all remember those who did great (Led Zeppelin s Physical Graffiti, Bruce s The River, Prince s Sign O the Times), we equally remember the ones that made us want to stop our ears (Genesis The Lamb lies down on Broadway - brrrr!). However, most of concept albums in the history of popular music, now decorating your local music store shelves, are just good, with certain ups and inevitable downs, and for the most...

Prince's Symbol album: Watch it or you will get funk all over those new shoes!
Review created: 08/11/05

Pros: Pure Prince with some great ballads.
Cons: The album is a little dated.
Prince came on the scene in the late 70 s and brought with him his unique blend of music. Prince is best known for taking ballads and infusing his own flavor of funk into the grooves. In the early 80 s he was all the rage with Purple Rain. After some contractual disputes with his label at the time Prince recreated himself again and released music under a new name, an unpronounceable symbol. That was the in the early 90 s and Prince has since been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. An interesting personality, to say the least, Prince has produced some amazing tunes. Prince and the...

Sexy Symbol

Pros: several select tracks
Cons: almost purposefully complicated and obtuse
This is a problematic album. It's the first Prince album I bought on CD. Previously I had Prince cassettes and Prince records. In a way, it's virtually the halfway point in his career. He'd released sucky albums before, but also perfect collections like Dirty Mind (my all-time favorite), Sign O' the Times, and 1999. I was never a big Purple Rain fan, but I had Lovesexy (for "Anna Stesia" and "Alphabet St."), Controversy (for "Do Me Baby" and the title track), and even liked parts of the spotty Around the World in a Day and the career-redeeming Diamond and Pearls. This album harks back to some.
