I just finished reading "Susanah's Garden" by Debbie Macomber. I found the book in the Best Sellers section at Walmart. This is the first time I have read a book by this author.
As a women in my 50s, I found this book very personal and close to my heart. Susannah Nelson had the responsibility of moving her elderly mother into assisted living. As she was sorting through papers in her childhood home, she realized that things were not what she had belived for many years.
She came to realize that her parents had difficult decisions to make and they did the best they could.
She learned to accept the responsibility for her part in problems with her own marriage and family.
This book has suspense, tragedy and love all tied together in the life of an ordinary woman with ordinary challenges and problems.
I look forward to reading another novel by Debbie Macomber.
Debbie can't write fast enough for me! She has a remarkable talent for weaving storylines of several ordinary characters into facinating reads.
This book deals with the complicated emotions that go along with being mother of a teen, the wife of a good but unexciting man, dealing with an aging mother and a father she wishes she'd been closer to when he was alive. And she manages to make this an intriguing story! That's what makes so many of us love Debbie Macomber books!
You'll love this book, and you'll want to read more by Debbie. She's written a lot of wonderful books and NONE will disappoint you!
The author portrays her character in such situations that you can relate to. You read how there lives interact with one an other and how caring they all become. When reading this book its like you are there on Blossom St. By the time you are done with the book you can't wait for the next one to see who comes to Blossom St. or what the next project will be.
I bought the Debbie Macomber book because I didn't have that one and love her books. This seller had a good book at a great price. I am glad I bought it.
Another wonderful heart warming story, I bought and read the Hardback Book went it first came out. Debbie is my very favorite writers, I have bought just about every book that she has written old and new. I have not read one bad book, they are all warm wonderful stories. I now pass or buy all her books for my niece, she also loves Debbie's books.
Another excellent book by Debbie Macomber. Tying in with her previous books on Blossom Street. Can't wait to read the next one in this series. Feel that I know all these characters and want to know how they are all faring.
