Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (Game Boy Color)

Being a 30-something in need of a diversion, this game for my GBC was just what Dr. Mario ordered. The game play is straight-up great, just what we all loved about Super Mario Bros. 'back in the day'. The game offers a challenge mode - something I really have not monkeyed around with much. I'm in it for the Princess!

The only occasional irritant is the way you can control how much of the vertical content of each level you can see (due to the smaller screen of the GBC), and untimely perspective shifts can send you straight down a hole or into an unseen Trooper. This take some adjustment to your playing, but anyone who has ever played a video game before will catch on quick.

The option to save and continue is a big plus, especially if your Nintendo fingers have a bit of rust on them! Highly recommended title for a fun platform!

i remember renting this from blockbuster as a kid. 12 years later, i decided i needed to own it. and i love it! it has all the classic mario features with a few extra mini games and intense color that looks great and is playable on a gameboy advance!

Great game for all ages. It has the classic Mario from NES. I bought this for my Gameboy Advance. Their is not many that are fun to play, like this one.

My friend had this game, and I remember playing it a while back. When I saw it on eBay, I remember how much fun it was. Gamespot.com had rated it as the best gameboy game to ever exist. So, I bought it, and ever since then, I've played it almost every day. Just yesterday I beat the game and am now rerunning through the game and doing the challenge. This game is a great game for ages 9 and up.

This item has saved many hours of frustration for all age groups. You should keep it in a small case in your car with extra batteries and a few games too. When I go out for anything, shopping, doctor apts, tests, meeting with teachers etc; it keeps whoever is with me occupied and happy instead of the restless grouchy's. I have used it on the kids and also older people and it is easy enough to use for all. Things like this will also make vacation trips more enjoyable because there is something to do and it can be passed throughout the family too. It brings peace into your life and the family too.

This is a great game. I bought it used and it has worked great. It has kept my 9 year old entertained for hours on end while we travel. I decided to buy it used because I could not find it new and buying used seems economically smart. I do not need new if used works just fine. The only thing I disliked was that since it was used the paper face decal had faded and peeled off a bit. That is just cosmetic though. All in all I would recommend this game for any Mario fan.

I love this game! It is the ORIGINAL mario game, and it is a great blast from the past!!! The game is extreamly fun to play! I actually fight with my brother to play it! All of the original games you remember, plus many more bonus rounds! A great game for the whole family!

Mario games never get old to me and this is one of my favorite ones! I personally own just about every Mario Game ever made and love playing them. I really recommend that you buy this one because it is a really good one!

If you like the Mario Worlds on Super Nintendo you will love this. It has all the same worlds right at your hands. I could sit and play it for hours.

This was the first game I ever bought for Nintendo's Gameboy Color system. The game is a perfect clone of the original and I was glad that I could finally take one of the best games ever made with me on the go.

The Nintendo Gameboy Color lacked really killer titles, as this is one of the few games for the system that surpasses the "must-own" status. Nintendo did a great job translating their bread and butter title over and it shows! The controls are precise and tight.

The only problem with the game is that we have all played it before and there is nothing new to mention here. Basically, if you own a NES system and a Gameboy Color system and was wondering which version to get, I would recommend buying the original NES version as it is 10x cheaper.

I loved the fact that Nintendo brought the first game I learned how to play to Game Boy Advance. Super Mario Brothers was the game that started it all in my household. Nearly 20 years later my son still continues to play all versions of video games, but his mom has been able to play the one of the only games she knows: SUPER MARIO BROTHERS.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for Game Boy Color is as close as you can get to the original version. It can be played on Game Cube using the add-on and from what I remember of the game, the GBA version is almost exactly the same. The only difference I've noticed is that a lot of the hidden coins from the original game are not in the same place on the GBA version. Other than that, it's the same great game. In my opinion, this game was one of the best ever created--fun, challenging, clean, and non-violent (unless you call breaking bricks violent). It's safe for young children and fun for older children, including the child in all of us.
