Summer Magic (2005, DVD)

I brought Summer Magic DVD, The movie was just what I wanted it came very fast and was just what I wanted. The Movie was in excited condition and was just what I was hoping for. I decide to buy the movie because it was a movie liked as a child and it made me think of mu cousin.

I loved this movie growing up, It was always a Favorite.
Now its a Favorite of my children too.
A must have movie for our family movie collection.

This is a fun family DISNEY movie. A little singing and alot of laughing. It's nice that these movies are out there for us to purchase and view without having to worry about foul language and other things that may be offensive. Young children still enjoy a wholesome movie if the parents believe in it ,too.

This is a great family movie (comedy) starring Haley Mills, who gets into a "predicament" but, of course, it all turns out OK in the end.

just what i wanted, dvd played well, and I love the movie. It is a movie that I enjoyed as a child and wanted to watch it again.

I grew up watching Disney movies and those with Halely Mills were always my favorite. My grandchildren now enjoy these movies. You cannot go wrong with a Disney movie and these older ones are the BEST.

This movie I really love because of the price. I have been looking for this movie for a while. I also found out that it was new. This is the reason why I bought this movie.

REMEMBERED THIS MOVIE WHILE I WAS GROWING UP AND IT REMINDS ME OF A SIMPLER TIME WHEN A YOUNG GIRL COULD DREAM AND STILL BE INNOCENT. LOVE IT.

This is one of my all time favorite movies, my mother has the original on VHS from when it very first came out, and I was always borrowing it. So I knew already that I would like it. It is set in a rag time world with player pianos and parasols. It is a great movie for the wife and kids, maybe not for the guys since my husband says without explosions, he thinks it is boring, lol. A timeless classic. Haley Mills is brilliant, and of course, who doesn't love Burl Ives?

This is a good film if you like Haley Mills. I have to say I like it. but everyone has different taste in movies. but I like it.

I purchased this DVD because I had enjoyed this movie when I was a child. It arrived promptly and was in excellent condition.

This is a great classic Disney movie. It's nice to sit down and watch a movie the whole family can enjoy and not worry about certain scenes with children in the room. This has a great story behind it with classic Disney actors in it like Halie Mills and Burl Ives. You will love the story and the great songs in it. Enjoy the movie and God bless!

If you like the Parent Trap with Haley Mills try her other movies. PollyAnna, Summer Magic, That Darn Cat, Moon Spinners. There All Great for the whole family. Maybe not the men but you and your children will love them. Disney movies there all fun.

I've been wanting to find this movie for years, but haven't seen it in the stores. Glad to finally have it in my collection.

I think that I can cover my review in less than a 100 words. They sent the movie in good time and they lived up to their promise. I will order from them again if they have the movie that I want.

Hayley Mills has been a part of many excellent movie productions. Among those are Tiger Bay, Pollyanna, Parent Trap, Chalk Garden, and Whistle Down the Wind. This movie is on the ligher side and ranks among her best. There are quite a few songs sung by most members of the cast including Burl Ives. The music is good and memorable. How could you ever forget The Ugly Bug Ball. There are no real villians in this movie as it is about a family that loves one another and sticks together. When they fall on hard times, a kindly retailer/postmaster/handyman/peace officer provides them a chance to live in the house of their dreams. This is a movie of small-town life with interesting people. We bought the widescreen version and it is beautiful. When you want a break from all the heavy drama, crime, special effects, high-tech movies, this is a good choice, especially if you are a Hayley Mills fan.

I was 8 years old and allowed to see Disney movies at the theater. The film was "Summer Magic" and I was entranced by it. I only saw it once (I come from the generation that had no VCR's or DVD's...movies could only be seen in theaters). Then in my 40's I found that I could buy a copy of "Summer Magic" to play on our VCR. It did not disappoint me...it was still every bit as magical as when I was 8 years old.
A family at "rag time" who have lost their home in Boston, move to a house they once saw on a family trip in the country. Hayley Mills, Dorothy Maguire and Burl Ives have a charm that is delightful as we follow the family through the move and settling into their new home and life. It is especially noteworthy for its depiction of the struggle and joys of young girls growing into young women. The charm of Disney songwriters, the Sherman brothers, weaves its pattern throughout the film.
We bought this most recent copy for our 12 year old granddaughter and her 8 year old sister. We had taken our copy for them to watch and our oldest granddaughter quickly fell under the magical spell of this movie, wanting a copy of her own, so she could watch it weekends and share it with her friends.
Generation to generation this film is one moms will want their daughters to have in their collection. "Summer Magic" is feminine and family education in the most delightful of ways.

Our family loves this and many other upbeat Disney Live Action Films. A great story Set in the 1940's about a precotious young girl who truley makes lemons into lemonade when their family loses their father and has to make a living. She takes their newly adoopted town and several others with them as they create a great new life. The film has been beautifully restored and features some wonderful music. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do and will make it a permanent edition to your library.

You will see a number of familiar Disney actors, namely Hayley Mills, Dorothy Macguire, and Burl Ives, in this movie which is a warm story about family togetherness, neighborliness, love, forgiveness, making a new life, and just having fun. This is a sweet movie as we follow the lives of a city family make a new start with its ups and downs in the "big yellow house" in the quiet country after their father passes away. A heart-warming story for the whole family!

This is a wonderful family movie. It has the the Quality of entertainment we have come to love from the Disney classics. It has a great cast of actors like Burl Ives,Hailey MIlls ,Debra Walley and Dorothy MaGuire. Any Disney fan should buy it.
