I really can't think of anything Dylan has done that I don't love. This is another fantastic Dylan album that every Dylan fan needs in their collection. I don't know what it is but I keep pulling this one out and playing it more than anything else on the Dylan section of my CD shelf. 5 Stars.

Pros: Remix has made a very good Dylan album into a nearly great one
Cons: Larger band and production values may be perceived as too slick for purists.
Coming on the heels of "Blood On the Tracks" and "Desire," many Dylan devotees were somewhat perplexed with the arrival of "Street Legal." The more sparse arrangements of the former albums had given way to a much larger sound, with Dylan using crack studio musicians that yielded a much slicker feel. Added to the fray were the saxophone of studio ace, Steve Douglas, and the background vocals of Carolyn Dennis, Jo Ann Harris, and Helena Springs.
