Stori Telling by Hilary Liftin, Tori Spelling (2008)

I bought this book because I have seen every episode of 90210 as well as Tori & Dean Inn Love. I find Tori Spelling interesting and wanted to learn more. This book kept me interested all weekend. I received it in the mail on Thursday and was finished with it on Saturday. The only dislike I have of this book is that it left me wanting more. I hope she makes another book.

Enjoyed the book alot and read it in a few days. I just couldn't put it down. This is the type of books that I enjoy reading. It wasn't to long and easy to read.

I was a little disappointed in the book. I love Tori Spelling and love watching the show tori and Dean in love. i guess i just wanted more juicy details about her family. In the show she says things like her Mother will be very upset after reading the book but she does not really say anything in the book to offend her mother.

She talks briefly about ALOT of different things i would have liked to read more about.

I bought the book for my Daughter because she loved "90210" and also loved Tori's "Inn Love" series. I also read the book and totally enjoyed it. Tori is hilarious. The book totally changed my "before image" of her. I totally recommend the book.

I enjoyed this book. Anyone who likes Tori Spelling enjoy this. It was like Ms. Spelling was in the room with me telling me these stories.

This was a great book, very well written. I have never been what you would call a Tori Spelling fan - I never watched 90210, but I have recently started watching the Tori and Dean reality show and love it. She seems like a true to life person, not as "uppity" as some of the other stars - she enjoys life and really tries to let that shine through. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about her - or if you are a big fan of hers you will find this book very informative. I really like the pictures that were included in the book.

This was a great book! I have had all of these ideas of what or who I thought Tori Spelling was and I was so wrong! She is such a great person! She is so down to earth and I wish all the best for her and her family. I only wish that her mother could see what a great person she is!

I just started the book, so I can't really review it, however, I find it is written the way Tori speaks, and can be quite funny. I purchased the book because I recently started watching her TV show, and found that I like her. She seems to be a good mother and wife, and generally a nice, rather unassuming person. I think she is very misunderstood, and that people think she is nothing more than a spoiled little rich girl, which does not seem to be the case at all. Despite her father's great wealth, he left her only one million dollars (not that one million dollars is "only" for most of us!). I think he knew what he was doing -- that if he didn't leave her a huge sum of money, she would have to earn it herself, and she is doing that, and I admire her. I also like the way she and Dean interact and their lovely little family. I look forward to reading the rest of the book.

There were so many things that I THOUGHT I knew about Tori, her family, etc., but this book just blew me away. I never miss "The Tori and Dean Show", as I call it. Just wonderfully written and a pleasure to read. I'm 47 and other than the Bible have only read one other book from beginning to end and that was 'The Bridges of Madison County'. i bought this book because of her show.This book is awesome and there is so much about her life that is never explained nor known. i finally found out what her brother does and what happened to her and her mother. i recommend this to any one who loves tori spelling. i just wish it would have come out after stella was born so she could have pic of them all in it. highly recommended.

I LOVE this book..All book stores were sold out of it but I found it on EBAY..It is a very interesting book that I could not put down!!

I loved the book! It is a hilarious and insightful look at the life of Tori Spelling. She talks about all the main relationships in her life including her mother, father, brother and her beloved Nanny who she considered her mother. It goes into details about the will her father wrote and her childhood, teens and 90210 show. I highly recommend this reading for a new and eye opening twist on a beleaguered and criticized daughter of the rich and famous.

I just could not put the book down, I am a person who dose NOT like to read I never even looked at a book, REALY, but this is the first book I got for my self and I read all of it. it is a great book she is a great person. you realy get to know who she is as a person and you cant help from likeing her and wishing all the love and best for her and Dean and family.as you can see I am not a good speller so that has a lot to do with me not likeing to read I gess, I could never get through a book cause of big words, but this book I did and I hope she will write again. AM I NOSE TO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HER LIFE? if so i realy dont mean to be it is just she and Dean make a great cople.and it is great to know there are people who did fine there ONE, I know I did also and it is good to read someone elce did to. I love Tori Spelling and since watching her reality show with her husband dean on oxygen, i had to get her book. I couldn't put it down and read it in two nights. I can totally understand her mom issues which is why i bought it. She is so down to earth and even though her mom did some not nice things to her she never says anything bad, she states the facts from her perspective. I find her to be a wonderful normal woman and now I can't wait for her new season to start. Anyone who likes her or has issues with their own mother it really is a little reading therapy for the heart. I highly recommend it.

sTori Telling was an awesome book, and I was unable to put it down once I opened it!! I ended up reading it to the very end in like two days. I cannot believe what her mother put her through. Being a mother myself to two grown children, I cannot fathom treating them in such a terrible and inhumane way. Her mom has some major issues and owes it to Tori to get some help and mend the rift. I know from all of this, being a survivor of a rotten childhood myself, it has made Tori a much stronger, loving, and caring person and she will thrive as a mother so as to give both her children the fair and loving childhood that she never had. Awesome book & kudos to Tori for setting the world straight. Cindy

It was interesting to read Tori's version of events surrounding her you've heard or read about. You can't believe the excess in her family at some points in her life, but if you watch her show, you know how she comes across as a pretty normal person (who happened to be born to one of the richest men in Hollywood!), and just wants to live her life with her husband and 2 children. It is a pretty quick read, and there are pictures also included. All in all, a nice book to sit and read if you want a few laughs, are interested in behind the scenes info, or if you are a fan of her current show.

Great tell-all book. A very compelling story. Great for the airport or vacation. Plastic surgery, romance, hardships, and relationships. What was really going on behind the scenes at 90201 . . . read the book!

Loved it! I came across Tori's show on Oxygen channel and got hooked on it. Wanted to know more about Tori and the book gave me that! Highly recommend the book, an EZ and fast read.

If it wasn't for Oxygen showing Tori and Dean's show, I NEVER would have bought this book!! Thank you Oxygen!! It was one of the best books I have ever read! I am so glad that I read this book, because I was so wrong about Tori Spelling! I could not stand her on 90210, and never have I watched one of her movies. But her show on Oxygen was interestin, and the book even better! She is NOT the rich, spoiled witch I thought, and she is very comical. She is a great writer, and I really enjoyed the book. She does repeat herself alot, but in a funny way. Only regrets I had about the book, it wasn't long enough! Way to go Tori!! Very proud of you!!

Mrs.Candy Spelling should not be able to call herself a mother!! Why would she treat her children as if they didn't exist and still does to this day and why did Arron Spelling allow it. What kind of mother gives her child what she wants for birthdays (( a selfish one!!)) instead of what the child might want. I would not trade lives with Tori, I feel very sorry for her, as she didn't get to experience what real parents are all about. I know all families have there problems but this goes a little far..Candy doesn't even care to see her grandchildren, I guess she's afraid she might have to spend a little time with them or spend a little money on them!!

I read this book cover to cover in one sitting. Tori Spelling is honest, funny and pokes fun at herself which makes you love her even more. She's not afraid to tell it like it is even when telling things that others would want to keep secret. My heart truly goes out to her and I could really relate to her family drama. Tori is beautiful, loyal and very brave. At the end of the book you just want to find her and give her a huge hug!!

Very well written and exceptionally entertaining, for its genre. Tori does a fantastic job letting the good times and not so good times roll. She is uncandidly honest and doesn't leave too much for the imagination. If you judged her book from the cover, before/after 90210, and even still during her reality t.v. show, you're sure to feel a sense of regret. Tori is not what she appears to be, and is full of life and lessons. I hoping for a second read, maybe from Dean?
