No dislikes!!! What did I like about it? EVERTHING. I bought this book because I just got done reading "The simple truth), and it was fantastic. This book was just as good or better.
I have read all David Baldacci's books. He never disappoints - fast moving, very current and always leaves you wondering. I like his books because they are not full of profanity and sex - his stories never drag. They depict that we have a sick government and I believe it needs fixing. Just wish I knew how.
I buy lots of books from ebay or half.com because they are a good value compared to the bookstores and other online retailers. Keep up the good work!
I have read all of the David Baldacci books and this is one of the most interesing and enjoyable books my wife and I both have read. The plot and story move right along at a good pace.
Baldacci is an excellent weaver of tales, very entertaining. If he has any weakness in his books it is that he constructs a plot that he has difficulty ending with the same entertainment factor that he provides in the story.
Picking up where "The Collectors" left you hanging and adding another entire pile of trouble as deadly government agents come looking to erase their 30-year-old tracks along with anyone who may try to interfere. The old story and new story become intertwined (like all of Baldacci's books, pretty much) but with a smooth meld and a high-paced drama throughout. Can't tell if the day is done for the Camel Club...looks like it might just be heating up, actually. A great read from the only novelist I read.
Baldacci never disappoints & there is no better place to buy books, c.d.'s, dvd's etc. than half com. They always have great prices & I have never been disappointd.
This was a present 4 my husband. He has read all of the books written by David Baldacci and says, although he's enjoyed all the others, this one is the best.
Fast shipping processes. I wish more sellers was likes you!!!! I had a bad expreince with my other book I have still not recived my book yet and the seller is very rude.
All of Baldacci books are intersting but lately, he is outdoing himself! Usually if one of his books is good, I take my time in reading it. But a couple he has put out lately, and especailly all those with the camel club involved in them. This one has a new twist as a former club member needs help from them but doesn't want to ask, and the character in need is non other than the talented Con Artist Annabel (and her con father also) This is one book that I read in about 2 days. I could not put it down. C. Sikes
I bought this yesterday morning and finished it today. It's good, engrossing, Harry Finn is my brother I think...too many similarities for me to be comfortable with! Baldacci is like any successful author in this genre, his plots might get a bit muddled but these characters (I love Annabel) are quite fun to read and you don't feel lame making the investment in finishing the whole book. This book brings back the Camel Club and someone is out to kill important people within this organization. I can't give the plot away but suffice it to say, this one would sell well to the movies because its great fun, unpredictable and not improbable (Baldacci's weakness is improbable plot lines...this one is a welcome return to realism!)
Baldacci is a much more intellectual writer than say, James Patterson because he sets a very distinctive scene for his characters, detail-oriented and not-so-cooky cutter as to be intellectually insulting. I think if you go to Costco and you see the book, or if its on Ebay buy it. It's a good read and reading is a lost art remember!?
