Still Waters - Bee Gees (The) (CD 1997)

I thoroughly enjoyed the different direction some of the songs that were collaborated in this album for the Bee Gees. So often artists, have a tendency to stick to a certain sound that appeals or that is comfortable to them. Where as, the fans see the same sound and style over and over from the artists, the words may be different but the music arrangements from the artist are the same. This holds true with Barry's vocals not always being so high in some of the songs on this album, unlike previous albums. I always have been a Bee Gees fan since the early days of their career. When they have had great albums as well as good albums. As long as they reinvented themselves and stayed open to new direction, they will always have a fresh sound to them.

THE VARIETY OF THE MUSIC ON THIS CD IS OUTSTANDING. UNLIKE MANY ALBUMS OR CD'S THAT YOU MAY PURCHASE WHERE THERE ARE ONLY 2 OR 3 REAL HITS AND/OR QUALITY SONGS THAT YOU MIGHT ENJOY, I LOVE EVERY SONG ON THIS ALBUM. THIS SONG REACHES BEYOND THE BOUNDS OF AVERAGE AND TOUCHES EVEN GOSPEL SINGING IN 2 OF ITS 12 SONGS IN MIRACLES HAPPEN AND SMOKE AND MIRRORS. I DON'T KNOW AS THAT WAS THEIR INTENT, BUT THEY CERTAINLY HAVE TOUCHED MY LIFE THROUGH THEIR SINGING, PRODUCING, AND WRITING OF FANTASTIC ONCE AGAIN. I LISTEN TO THIS CD CONSTANTLY SINCE RECEIVING IT AND HAVE TAKEN IT ON THE LAST TRIP THAT I TOOK.

THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEE GEES. THE ONLY CD OR DVD THAT I HAVE ENJOYED AS MUCH AS THIS IS THEIR 1997 DVD "ONE NIGHT ONLY" CONCERT AND THE BEST OF THE BEE GEES FROM 2002 WITH ITS 40 GREATEST HITS ON IT. "STILL WATERS RUN DEEP", "CLOSER THAN CLOSE" AND "I WILL" ARE AMONG MY FAVORITES. THIS CD ALSO EXPLORES THE GREAT SOUNDING LEAD SINGING ABILITY OF MAURICE GIBB BEFORE HE PASSED AWAY. I BID ON AND WON 2 COPIES OF THIS CD AND HAVE IT DOWNLOADED ON MY COMPUTER. I HAVE THE CD'S BOTH IN MY CAR AND THE SECOND ONE ON MY TELEVISION WHERE I LISTEN TO IT ON MY SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM. WHAT A TREAT!!!!

What can I say about these wonderful spiritual men that has not been said a million times already? They are the best! They are truly the most talented singers in the world. They're music moves me spiritually, I can not say that about any other singers. I've heard allot of good music but they top the list! They have been so dedicated to they're work, like no other. I felt sad for days when I heard about Maurice's passing. I had just watched a music video with all of them and Maurice was looking more handsome then ever! He was really such a beautiful person, as they all are. they are all so special in they're own ways. I love these guys so much!

Love the Bee Gees and want to collect more of these favorite goodies.I fell in love with their music and couldn't play their songs enough times,even though my family made fun of me and told me to play other artist' songs. We've been through enough bad times and this helps me through each day. This is one of my favorite CD's, but I like so many of them.I just got my own laptop and finally have my own time to look through the music offerings to see what I would like to buy and for so many different prices too. I'm learning to scout the offers and see the different ways that the pricing is determined.

this it the best cd ever i had this cd before but is no good
now is better than before.

The years make no difference. Those awesome voices and harmonies are still there!!! I get chills when I listen to this one!
