Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox)

I've been through this game 4 times, and about to start it a 5th time, just love it and love the way the game play changes with how you develop your character. Definitely great entertainment value!

This is how the game was described in the items description page. I should of asked the seller for a detailed rating 1-5(1-being very poor condition to 5-being great condition) before bidding. The second line above I did not pay close attention to. In my many years as a gamer I would never put "GREAT CONDITION" in my description for a game that is completly covered with scratches. The game has not given me problems... yet, but I can only blame myself for not asking the right question. Normal wear & tear with surface scratches is all in the eye's of the beholder, not the buyer. Now for all you saying just return the game. I don't feel good paying the shipping on a returned item.

I LOVE THIS GAME. Another great from Lucasarts and Bioware. It's definitely up there with Shadows of the Empire for 64. Creating your own character and leading them down either the dark or light paths is a fun experience that will keep you gaming.

This game is great! If you have ever desired to crush your opponents with The Force, or whip out your lightsaber and destroy those who stand against you, then this game is for you.

Choose your path, dark or light, and follow one of the best RPG stories ever put into game form. Meet awesome characters along the way that have incredible backstories. These NPCs also are influenced by your choices within the game, and progress through the story in an intriguing fashion.

I highly recommend this game to any fan of RPGs, Star Wars, or great gameplay!

Bought the game for my 7 year old son because he loves Star Wars so much. I'm guessing this is probably a great game, but more suited to older kids.

played this and KotoR 2 for the first time a few years ago. I love the multiple story lines, the way you can custom the main player, party. Gameplay A+, Controls A, Story A+, Graphics A- Overall these games are hours apon hours of fun. You can literally play this game 20 times and not get the same thing from it each time. The lead writer for this dame wrote the Star Wars: Darth Bane books, and Mass Effect Story and books. Def. worth chacking out!

This game is might have for the Xbox and Xbox 360. I really enjoyed playing it. Others will too. This game also give origin to the Sith. even the opening has interested storyline that causes reaction that effect the outcome to light side or becoming a member sith

I first played KOTOR on the computer and it sold me on Bioware. I'd never really been into previous games they'd made... nor was I ever really a Star Wars fan...then this was released and I loved it!

The character interaction, the fantastic storyline, fantastic graphics for the time and what I deemed as revolutionary gameplay experience for an RPG sold me instantly. I have played every Bioware game possible since and each time loved it. If you like a game that is more than just another hack and slash fantasy/sci-fi game, this is the one for you. You could hate Star Wars and this would still be a great game to you. The story and characters can make you appreciate something you cared nothing for.

I like the fact that my future brother in law really likes this game. The reason I decided to buy the game is because he wanted it. It appears to work really well, and I believe he is glad he got it.

This is one of the best rpgs i've ever played. it's so much fun. it's really not that fun as the dark side, because the lines r so cheesy, lyk "I'm going to kill you" when sum1 sez "wut's up?"

This game is highly addictive and impossible to play only once. You should play through at least 5 times to find EVERYTHING on the Light, and the Dark side lest ye be called a communist.

This RPG is absolutely awesome. You don't even have to be a fan of the Star Wars franchise to appreciate this game...
Part II is good also but KOTOR I set the bar very high

I haven't played this game yet since I've purchased it from eBay. In fact, it's still in the factory wrap :). I have, however, completed it before, when I had an Xbox(I have an Xbox360 now). I loved the game and completed it on the Lightside of the Force and I think I successfully completed the romance plot with the other Lightsaber-wielding Jedi, whose name currently eludes me, as well. Anyway, I eventually sold it along with all the rest of my Xbox stuff. I recently purchased it once again, on eBay, because I knew I really liked the game.
Any one who's a fan of Star Wars (even if they don't know much about it, like me) should definitely buy this game, or at least rent it and try it out. Also check out Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. I completed that game as well, and I felt it was also a fantastic game. I plan on purchasing it on eBay as well, and also plan on purchasing the strategy guides for both games.

This game is the ultimate fantasy for Star Wars fans. This is the first of two games and by far the better of them. You play as republic soldier who finds his way around the Star Wars galaxy, and along with your friends too. But you also learn about your dark past. But I'm not giving that up. Choose the light side of the force or the dark side of the force, or just be neutral, whatever you choose, choose wisly. Out of a 1-10, and 10 being the best, I would give this game a 9.5, not because of effects or dialoge, but because you get choices and it's more of a sandbox game.

Have not played a role playing game such as this before and have had a hard time getting the game to progress! The manual was not included and know am regretting not having that extra information. Overall so far so good but not as action packed as I was hoping.

My son loves the game, he has most of the other Star wars games but this one is the most realistic in what you can do and how you can change wepons etc. I know he likes it better because since we got it every time I go to see what he is playing when he is on the X-Box he is playing this game. Useualy he will get tired of a game after a couple of days but not this game, it is great and highly recomended.

Before Knights of the Old Republic, BioWare was solely known by its Neverwinter Nights franchise. The company had always kept on the PC market and never delved into consoles. This all changed with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. KOTOR is a throw-back to the great gems that small in-house developers used to make. It quickly becomes obvious that BioWare took strives to look after every detail in the game. The sheer amount of polish is remarkable for such an ambitious a game.

Star Wars: KOTOR follows the story of Revan and Darth Malak, two rogue Sith Lords who had jumped from the Jedi Order. You, as the player, must travel across six planets, encounter copious amounts of puzzles, enemies, and new characters in hopes of stopping Malak from taking over the Old Republic. The story-line is very open-ended, allowing the player to travel to any of the planets at any time and still seamlessly flows the story through. The game, without wanting to spoil anything, has the biggest twist that I have ever encountered in a game.

The game-play is top-notch. The RPG elements and number crunching (the game uses the Dungeons and Dragons rules) are all hidden so that, on a casual glance, you might mistake the game for an action-adventure game. The character customization is truly one of the strong points of the game. There is a litany of weapons and equipment for the main characters. As well, each can have their skill sets enhanced and augmented following each subsequent level they attain. Finally, you have the ability to become a Jedi and wield powerful Jedi powers.

The graphics of the game were on-par with standard PC configurations (in 2003). However, nowadays, the graphics of KOTOR pales in comparison to some other games on the XBOX (Ninja Gaiden) and although usable, the graphics are not very good. The character models themselves look good, but the hit detection and the environments look pretty bland. The different weapons and armor lack detail and are of the generic run-of-the-mill type.

The sound and the music are excellent. The voice acting needs special accolades because of the sheet amount of voice work in the game. There are literally hundreds of hours of wonderfully characterized speech. The sound effects sound good and the music works well with the overall mood of the game.

The game features very little past the story-mode. However, despite this, you will find that this is enough to satisfy yourself. This is partly due to the sheer amount of things one can do in one play-through. It takes an average of 40 hours per play through, and with both Light and Dark sides available, you could easily lose 60-80 hours of your life in this game.

Overall, this is simply the best RPG on the XBOX and one of the best RPG's available. It features memorable characters, excellent game play, and one of the best stories I have ever encountered. If you even remotely enjoy RPG's, pick this up for your XBOX!

I found that dealing with game sellers who have a high rating of positive sales is most important. This way I find less problems to deal with, and the products are most always as represented. So far it has been a good buyer/seller relationship. Ebays feedback system can be a life saver when you spend a lot of hard earned money on sellers blindly. Thank you.

KOTOR is a long well scripted game with great action and an enthralling story line. It is a real-time RPG that gets you immersed in the Star Wars universe. Your actions in the game determine wether you are drawn to the light side, or if you chose, cross over to the dark side. Every choice is yours to make; when dealing with the in-game characters you can cooperate and try to be a friendly guy, haggle with the traders, or even take off a few heads when you're in a bad mood. I highly recomend Knights of the Old Republic to any gamer, especially if you are looking for a solid RPG or are even slightly interested in Star Wars. I own the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PS2 and this is one of the best games I've played.
