Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005, DVD)

This may be, in this humble person's opinion, rival even any of the other 5 movies, even the original 3. This movie definitely has a darker tone, which is a refreshing surprise for the series' now older fan base, and a good return to where the series should be after a less than stellar episodes 1 and 2. Not that any of the six movies shouldn't be in even the casual fan's collection, but this one is an absolute must. It's truly a dissapointment it took until 2005, but it's nice to see George Lucas finally got it right. It seems he saved the best for last. Let's keep it that way, because I honestly don't see any more of a future for this series. Best to go out with a bang.

I've always been a fan of Star Wars and now I'm putting together my own set. Being retired and living on a fixed income eBay makes it possible to get the movies for a very reasonable price.

This was by far the best of the Star Wars series. I have purchased all but one of the six episodes but have seen all six. This was even better than the first Star Wars movie which received accolades out the ying yang. Thanks for a great movie.

Must have for any Star Wars fan! Last movie in the series and puts everything into perspective!!!! Great movie overall.

The story line comes out as Dark...not intended for children under 12. The DVD's picture quality is above standard, with remarkable clarity and image semblance that is consistent through-out the entire movie.

Received it in a timely manner. Bought it as a Christmas gift for my son as this is the nnly Star Wars Episode he did not have.

being 43 and never having the time to get to see star wars before because of working (now disabiled) i watched the movie will all it`t excitement on my tv in surround sound and the movie although it came out years ago, i was totally taken in by it`s action and storyline . i would watch it again and never get bored with it .

My nephews have just been "introduced" to the Star Wars saga. We thought this would be the perfect Christmas gift for them.

this movie is the bridge for when anakin becomes darth vader. my son is really into star wars so we finished up our collection with this film. this is a generally entertaining film although the acting in episodes 1, 2 and 3 is pretty poor. that is made up, to some degree, with the special effects and the actual story. it's a good story. i bet the books are good.

The movie was awesome...choreography was so good i cant put it into words...I knew that handsome actor who played Annakin Skywalker would turn into Darth Vadar....I knew his wife would die...still......I cried and cried for days...everytime the movie subject was brought up in my presence, I startd crying. I cant stand for a hero to fall or see love lost. Emotional you say?...yessss I am. I can watch my dvd of it now without crying, but I cant talk about it too much without doing so...i'm just a hopeless romantic, and am not appologizing for it either.
The Star Wars saga is complete...I have every one of the movies...i watch them 4 or 5 times a year...maybe much more at times. The enhanced version of VI is so great with Annakin letterboxed with Obi- One and Yoda at the end. III & VI brings to light Annakin's true nature. THE CHOSEN ONE. He really didn't want the power to control and rule, just to defend and save those he loved from certain death... how he cried out in pain when the emporer told him he had killed Padme in his anger... then when Luke cried out to him to help him when the Emporer was trying to kill him, that love finally came out. He gave up his life so his son would live. Now thats unconditional LOVE. Only a human can experience that. More machine than man?...I dont think soooo... Son saves father from evil, then father saves son from evil...father is eternally redeemed to his former self when he was a Jedi Knight to counsel with his son along with Yoda and Obi-One whenever Luke needs him... Annakin became, finally, a Jedi Master...what a story! The perfect puzzle has been put togeather. AWESOME!!!! George Lucas has to be one of the most imaginative people yet. And the people that work for him are surely hard-pressed (but i might add, extremely sucessful) to fufill his ideas and put them on the big screen.
The actors Lucas chose for all the roles were superb...i do wish Annakin was a bit less handsome toward the end tho..i could have dealt with his fall without crying so much.
If I have one negative thing to say about the entire 6 movies it is:
Darn!!!! George couldn't you have made Annakin grow less handsome as he fell into the dark side of the force, dang!! He got more handsome, rugged and virile-looking.
True classics...beyond our imaginations...even for non- sci-fi lovers, you got to see them. I wouldn't take a million for my StarWars collection.

All I have to say is that this movie is the best I have EVER seen. The lightsaber duels were more intense, more exciting, and they lasted longer than the previous ones. I wish that there would be an Episode 7!

The produce was in the conditioned as it was advertised. the only thing I would hope for next time if I were to purchase from this seller is a quicker turn around in receiving the item.

Star Wars - Nothing More To Say.... These are the best movies in the world. Although I still have to say the originals (4,5,6) are still the best. Lucas has done a great service to all fans with these movies.

1. Question: Why did I buy it?

I purchased this DVD, because I am a huge Star Wars fan. I own all the movies except this one. I have many of the old 25plus year toys, and many of the new ones. I have a huge collection of books, and misc. memorabilia. I was injured and did not have the money to buy it when it first came out in the stores. I knew I could get a good copy from ebay, and it would cost me less.

2. Question: What you like most about it?

The price, of coarse, but the copy of the movie I received was used. You always run the risk of a poor condition copy, when you buy used. In this case, this DVD was in great condition. No finger prints, scratches, or regular smudges you might find on a used DVD. The item also came to me very well packaged.

3. Question: What you dislike about it?

To be truthful, I expected that there would be many things wrong with the DVD. The few things that I can say were wrong, or I did not like, is the DVD sleeve. The sleeve contains the picture, title, and misc. information. It had faded, and do to wear and tear was ripped. The DVD had also been written on in black ink, as if to black out some one’s name, or the name of a video store.
In closing, I must say,
The purchase price, the shipping, and delivery time made this transaction well worth it. The DVD was USED. This being the case, and with this in mind, the item could have been a disaster. The company I purchased from stated a fair return policy, so I took the chance. It was well worth it, and I have purchased more from them since. I have recommend them to family and friends, and to you also.

Ok.... The Series Is Over.... and basically ending where it almost started!

For me, it was a fitting end to the series, although I don't think that anything in this series will match seeing the first one multiple times in the theater back in 1977 for me!!

However this is a MUST HAVE DVD if not this individual DVD, then a collection of all six!

I love Star Wars and this movie was done really well to tie in the first 2 prequels with that of episode 4 and beyond. Excellent action scenes and story. Themes in this movie may be a little much for younger children.
