Star Wars has got to be the greatest movie series of all time!!! There is so much excitement and action. All I can say is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great film of course. Want to have the whole set. It's one of the classics, and I like having some movies around to watch when there's nothing on TV like now with the writer's strike. Can't beat having a few Star Wars classics on the shelf.
I like that the movie and it's case came in the exact way that the sellers discription read. I decided to buy this movie because my family is currently trying complete the 6 Star Wars movie collection.
Other than the above review items I would also like to thank the seller for a speedy shipping!
As for being a Star Trek Fan, and since Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back came out in the early eighties I became addicted to the Star wars series as well. I bought the first of the trilogy in VHS, but now that they are all available in DVD I had to have the complete series. The only bad thing is it is hard to find them all in Full Screen format and the only movie I had left to find was episode 1 and once I found it on Ebay I had to jump on the chance to get it especially new and unopened which was very COOOL! Thanks to George Lucas for creating such a great collection of Movies.
It is great sci fi fun with all the special effects, and good actors that bring you into the core of it and make you think this is real. You root for the good guys and shudder at the bad guys. And fall in like with the alien characters. It's entertainment. What more could you ask for?
Star Wars Episode I Phantom Menace, was in my opinion, the best of the prequel triogy. It also had one of the best Sith Lords from the Saga, Darth Maul, with his double bladed lightsaber, he was the best. Also, you meet Jar Jar Binks, who is funny in this movie. Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan's master, is a cool. He is intelligent. Anyways, this is the the third best of the Saga in my opinion.
well, basically im a complete star wars fan and my house burned down so slowly im replacing lost items in the fire, George Lucas kept my imagination going since his first release of episode 4, and has not failed to keep my imagination happy with his recent star wars additions, i higghly reccomend getting this as well as all other new special editions DVD'as coming coon for episodes 4 , 5, and 6
I bought this movie so my grandson could have a complete set of the Star Wars collection. I saw the original trilogy in the movie theater as they came out and was very impressed with the quality of special effects and the story line. It is a good thing that the movies were produced in the order they were or it would have ruined the the mystery of the relationship of Luke and Princess Leah. Which you did not find out until the final episode. I now have all 6 episodes and my grandson cannot get enough of watching them.
My grandson loved the movie. When he is happy so am I.I had no problems with the dvd.It came in good shape. The seller I bought it from was awesome.I would buy from him(her) again,Judi

Anakin Skywalker's Journey Begins in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Pros: It's a Star Wars movie. Great visuals and effects.
Cons: Dragged in places. Anakin was annoying to me.
I have seen the movies in the Star Wars Trilogy many times and really enjoy them. I was excited when I first heard that George Lucas was going to make a prequel trilogy. I went to see Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and did enjoy it though I felt there were some problems with the movie. I will mention some things about the overall story told by the Star Wars movies, including the original trilogy, that would be spoilers for people who haven t seen those movies yet. There were disputes over trade routes in the Republic and the Trade Federation decided to blockade the planet of Naboo....

Pros: Beautiful scenery, the Pod Race, highly imaginative.
Cons: Unusual motives for fighting. Growing up sucks.
A certain fan of mine, an overnight stocker at Pick N Save once asked me if I was ever going to get around to reviewing any of the other Star Wars films besides Episode II: Attack Of The Clones. This was, of course, the first time in three years working there that anyone had even mentioned my online reviews to my face. And here I was, two weeks away from moving cross country. Oh well. This one's for you man, wherever you are. Maybe someday I'll get around to the Original Trilogy, but for now I figured I'd tackle Episode I: The Phantom Menace. (*sigh*) This could take a while. The expectations.

The Phantom Menace; I Wanted to Like it, Really I Did!

Pros: CGI is outstanding
Cons: CGI is outstanding, acting is flat, not enough battle scenes.
As I stated in my review of Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones: Usually at the end of a movie I like to sit and bask in the afterglow of the story just told. I like to let my mind wrap itself around the positive energy the movie transmitted into my neural receptors, the energy that puts a bounce in my step, and makes me feel glad I m alive! That energy that instills the feeling in me like I can do anything and face the world knowing that I am a better person for having just witnessed something miraculous and life-affirming play out before my eyes. Not so with Star Wars Episode I - The..

STAR WARS No.1: A Short Time Ago In A DVD Machine Near, Near At Hand

Pros: Lots of muscle.
Cons: Essentially passionless.
Well, by George, Lucasfilm finally released The Phantom Menace on DVD in November of 2001. Now I get to see Jar Jar Binks all over again. Whoopee! Wonder if George will ever turn loose of all the other STAR WARS movies on DVD so that those of us who are switching over to the new generation of home movies can watch it in the best way. Hope so. Actually, like a lot of other Star Wars fans, I really found several things not to become particularly enthralled about in regards to STAR WARS EPISODE 1: The Phantom Menace. Maybe a (jaded?) generation of us just really got our hopes up too high when...

Letter to a Star Wars Fanatic

Pros: Love the special effects! Love the soundtrack! Love Natalie Portman!
Cons: Three words: Jar Jar Binks
Dear Son, I hope by now you have recovered from the harsh words I let fly last night after I ejected the Special Edition Widescreen Collector s Edition video. Please realize that they were not directed at you personally, but rather at Mr. George Lucas in particular and Hollywood in general. I should never have used the words sucks, shallow and disenchantment in your presence. Furthermore, use of the phrase Jar Jar Binks must die was entirely uncalled-for. If I hurt your feelings, I sincerely apologize. But I couldn t help myself. I mean, that travesty they call a Star Wars movie, that phantom.
