...is the way the first Laubach Literacy lesson starts out. As a certified literacy tutor, I was touched by Stanley and Iris in a very special way. Of course, I was attracted by the presence of Robert DeNiro, and of Jane Fonda, and even of Swoosie Kurtz (if that isn't a name, I don't know what is), but was attracted much more by the subject matter. Jane Fonda is a widow, struggling along on a low-pay job and feeling the depression and desperation associated with the loss of her husband.
