it is subtle, it captures your heart and mind without ostentatious presentations, music (especially in winter) of a texture that should be broadcasted at 90% rtate (classical excluded) earthwide, photography worthy of watching over and over,
in other words, if you can watch this movie and not be moved by it, I suggest you find another planet to live

Great story, fantastic cinematography. I have purchased three two of them for friends they saw it and wanted it. Makes a great lasting gift. This is a great movie. If you are tired of the Hollywood crap that is being produced today then give this one a look-see. It is quite refreshing to find a movie like this one. There is not much dialogue here – just a great movie not to be missed.

This movie depicts the human experience in a simple, yet greatly profound, manner. Although the story is about a buddhist man and the choices he makes throughout his youth and up until his old age; it could be about any one, of any faith. We all face moments of truth and decision as we walk through the seasons of our lives, this movie portrays those moments beautifully. This movie has made it to my "view again and again" list. Highest Recommendations.

A beautiful, spiritual look at Buddhism. If you like quiet films with depth of character...if you enjoy learning about other belief systems and how people choose to live these beliefs, you will love this film. Visually stunning, very quiet and poignant.
