Splash (2004, DVD)

A charming, sexy and funny mermaid tale with Tom Hanks as a successful, young businessman who has everything but love, that is until he meets up with the girl of his dreams, played by Daryl Hannah; however, unbeknownst to him, she is a mermaid targeted for capture by an obsessed oceanographer. Perfect performances and clever laughs make this a must see for fans of romantic comedy.

I love this movie and did since I first saw it when it came out in the movie theater. I was able to share it with my niece and now she fell in love with it too. I hadn't seen it in a while and forgot how cute it was.

One of the best movies that Tom Hanks did. My daughter was very little when the movie was put on VHS and she wore out the tape and we had to buy another one.. It is cute, funny, sad and all around great!!

I bought this dvd for my daughter who is off at college and has no cable.
she requested and loves it. She has watched many times and has no complaints.

Splash is a great movie!!! It's just as enjoyable today as it was back in the day. I have no complaints when it comes to this DVD of Splash. I recommend this movie if you're looking for a funny, cute feel good movie.

there is a lot to like about this comedy.

performances by candy, hanks, hannah, levy, are all classics.

the romance of the leads, countered by the perversion of candy, and the obsession of levy, make for a fun movie. i am eager to see this version.

the 'swedish doctors' and some of the other scenes, are comedy gold.

Splash - A good movie about a man who sees a mermaid when he is younger and meets up with her again when he is older. They fall in love, there is a bunch of funny scenes in between. It's a funny movie, give it a try.

very speedy delivery and product was as described very satisfied was for a gift and arrived in plenty of time ordered it a week after this other movie i ordered for same reason and it arrived 2 weeks earlier.

I like this movie because I used to watch it all the time when I was a child. I bought it because it is one of my favorite movies to watch.

I love this movie, I watched it with my daughter when she was a little girl and it is one of her favorites!! It is a comedy fantasy love story about a Man and a Mermaid. Not to mention Tom Hanks, John Candy and Daryl Hannah are in it!

Definately Daryl Hannahs best movie ever. Tom Hanks is really funny. John Candy & Eugene Levy round out the great cast. Excellent film. Special features are great, showing original audition tapes.

I THOUGHT IT WAS VERY ENTERTAING & MY 9 YEAR OLD THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD BUT SHE LIKED AQUA MARINE BETTER. IT WAS A BIT DATED LIKE THE CLOTHES STYLE, AND IT DID HAVE SOME BREEF NUDITY BUT WAS DONE IN GOOD TASTE. IT WAS KIND OF LIKE YOUR TIPICALL ROMANCE COMADY.

I Had looked for this movie title many times before and was never able to find it. I am happy to finally find it and it was such a smooth and wonderful deal.

This was my FAVORITE movie when I was little. The "Little Mermaid" type story acted out by humans is great! I decided to buy this DVD because it is hard to find in stores, it reminds me of my past, and it is the 20th Anniversary Edition with such GREAT actors as Tom Hanks, Darell Hannah, and "The late" John Candy. An awesome movie that I had to have for my collection.

A wonderful light, airy love story about a mermaid and human who is willing to become a merman to be with her for all eternity.
Cute wholesome movie that the whole family will enjoy. It keeps you laughing and rooting for the mermaid and booing the scientist who is constantly trying to chase her down. You'll find yourself actually wanting the scientist to get socked, hit and hurt just because of his treatment of the mermaid.
The brother, John Candy, is such a goof-off, but very tender hearted and in the end knowing he'll lose his brother forever, he doesn't hesitate to help him leave this world behind and go be with his true love.
This movie is a classic and will remain so. Buy it now, because it is becoming hard to purchase.

We love the when the girl turns into a mermaid in the tub and her tail unfolds. It is also great to see Tom Hanks as a young actor.
