I liked the games CASE it has a holographic image that makes for easy amusement. It even has a cheat code which is easy to execute and lets you watch as your game character makes all the correct dance moves automatically. I didn't like how short the game's story was however I purchased it from ebay hoping to see what dreamcast had going and this games highly amusing, and funny. The games played by pressing the buttons on the controller and directions in the correct order in which the challenging dancers execute. I want to one day see Sega make a Dreamcast 2? = to a next generation gaming machine!

In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream Because You Ain't Got Rhythm

Pros: Hipper than a hip replacement
Cons: Shorter than a midget wrestler
One of the many quirks of Sega (aside from their odd business practices) is their penchant for creating some unusual games. The Sega Dreamcast without question houses some of the oddest projects the company has ever done - while most never came to our shores (stuff like Segagaga especially), a few have slipped through the cracks, such as Jet Set Radio, The Typing of the Dead (no kidding, this game really exists), and this particular game, Space Channel 5. While the genre isn't anything new, that being rhythm action games (think Parappa or Dance Dance Revolution), SC5 is still a plain old...

Pros: Original idea.
Cons: Basically just a game of simon says.
I don't usually go looking for bad games on purpose. I don't know if you are like me and sometimes you just want to play something you think will be awesome and it gets rave reviews in the media but you just end up hating it instead. Space Channel 5 for the Sega Dreamcast was one of those games for me. Yeah, it may look weird but I actually liked the graphics and music here so it has a very cool theme to get my juices flowing. Speaking of that you gotta love that the sexy lead character too, eh? The game itself though was about has much fun as scratching the rash on my as$. In this simple...

Pros: graphics; originality
Cons: too short
This is one of the weirdest, funkiest, most original games available for the Dreamcast (DC) right now. I hear that there are quite a number of these on the east front, and a few exist even here. However, it seems like they are usually meant for the younger female audience than anyone else. I am also kind of ashamed to write this review, in fact I might even ditch it. If I do end up posting it, its for the laughs and giggles only. Tough guys don't play these games unless they are trippin! Or that is how its supposed to be. But bare with me and lets get this one over with. Story Line 7/10 Its a.

Check Your Homophobic Tendencies At The Door, Baby

Pros: Funny, catchy, and unique rhythm gameplay.
Cons: A little short on content.
Most gamers today wouldn't want to touch a game like this with a ten foot pole. That's OK, as long as you look forward to playing such original content as Deer Hunter 8. While you're busy being a homophobe, one of gaming's swingingest, most unique offerings is passing you by. Space Channel 5 doesn't push technological boundaries to the limits, but it does more for the gaming community than any snazzy new 3D engine ever could and it's something that won't be experienced by as many gamers as it should be. Gameplay: SC5 is one of those scary rhythm games. The kind that would make you question...

Hey Space Cats - Watch Me Dance!
Review created: 08/06/00

Pros: Uooo .. la.. la!
Cons: Very difficult for casual gamers, too short for expert gamers.
Okay, let's be hypothetical. If PaRappa and Ulala took each other on in a dancing contest, who do you think will win? I actually don't know myself, but these two have to be the coolest dancing cats to ever grace the console. Okay, so many others would argue about Bust-A-Groove, but there was no one that has been as memorable as these two characters. PaRappa is exclusively for the PSX, and Dreamcast owners have Ulala. Oh wait.. sorry for small drift into fantasy land. While Dancing Games are a huge hit in the East, they just never caught on that well in the United States. Which is too bad,...
