Soyo DV2150 DVD Player / VCR Combo

I am bummed. As the happy owner of a GoVideo VHS duplicator, I assumed that the same company could make an equally reliable VHS to DVD transfer unit. AFTER my eBay purchase (for $15.55), I read so many negative reviews, that I have not even plugged the unit in to test it. Instead, I am about to purchase a new Samsung unit which has received generally favorable reviews.

This product did not include the owner's manual, making it difficult to set up.
It was a gift to my husband, who is not completely ignorant, but it would have been very helpful to have instructions.

the general review is excellent, but the return policy is a litte off to me. You get a product save it for a gift, then the product isn't what they say it is. Example: works perfect, give as gift and something doesn't work perfect. Try to return, or repace it, and can't. They say time period is up. If the poroduct isn't perfect, you should be able to return due to the fact that the product wasn't perfect as stated. This really bothers me about buying things through ebay. I know it is the sellers falt not ebay, but I wish there was something you could do to make them take the item back or replace it.
