THE PLAYSTATION DIDNT WORK! IT LOOK LIKE IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION BUT IT WAS DEFECTIVE... I HAVE 16CD GAMES AND NONE OF THEM WORK THE TV CONNECTOR IN THE BACK OR BROKEN AND HAS A SHORTED CONNECTION....IM 6YEAR OLD WAS SO UPSET THAT THE USED PLAYSTATION DIDNT WORK..SO I HAD TO GO OUT A BUY A BRAND NEW PLAYSTATION2 THAT WORKS GREAT AND PLAYS ALL MY PS1 GAME.. IM VERY HAPPY NOW BUT IT COST ME A LOT

The shipping price was $34 for 1.2 lbs. The seller would not drop it and Ebay won't help. It cost $8.50 to ship and he charged $34. Thanks for no help ebay!

Could not test playstation did not come with cords. Seller did offer to give my money back as all of the items were not included. Playstation system looked great came with games lots of games but could not test to see if it worked or not, but seller very communicatable with me and offered refund.

The 1001 have many problems with reliability. The lasers go out ,the mtors stop, and the power supplys burn out-Beware of these- very cheaply made!

reasons i like the playstation is they sell alot of games and alot of games goes hand in hand with people buying them. on the negative its harder to find games after they get off the shelf. i love the playstation because it can play cds not just games and checking memory cards also thats always good. what i dislike is having to buy extra expansion slots for controllers and having to buy memory cards. those cost quite a bit. all over all though the playstation i give it a 7 out of 10 rating. because quality is good but it has a few things that if they made it all just memory it would work great

I bought this item because it is an original Playstation that started the PS fame. Even with the Playstation 2, some titles are not playable from the PS1.

I love to play my PS1. I decided to buy this item because of two games that it had available. One was Frogger the other Tetris. I use to play these games when I was younger. I haven't been able to find other systems with those games available. This system is awesome to play.

Didn't work. Turned on but didn't read any disk. Don't buy Playstations off of ebay. you have to wait over 30 days to get refund and you lose 9-10 bucks off of shipping. not worth it at all.

The playstation is perhaps one of the best and revolutionary gaming systems that hit the market. Since they stopped making them i had to order one on here online. Open button and memory card slot a little sticky [as in card doesn't read well and open gets stuck] but it works.
It keeps good shape over a long period of time and is very very sturdy. I highly recommend buying one along with a greatest hit 3d game Final Fantasy 7.

Great for its time and great for gamers who want to go old school. I highly reccomend the original Playstation model, not the PSone or the PSX as they don't last as long.
Common malfunction problems usually involve the memory stick not being accepted and controllers not working correctly... but those problems still persist in the ps2 etc.

Still cosider to be a nice system and games for it are real cheap. I prefer the true big console compared to the small one. I also like the fact my kids really enjoy the games and there are alot of kids games made for it.................................................................

here's the deal: my cd player (which i've had for 15 or so years)died. it was about the highest end you could buy at the time. i needed a replacement, fast; it had to be of similar quality and as with most things i buy these days had to come from e-bay. problem solved sony playstaion 1, 1st generation, still one of the best cd players on the market today. it plays cds and so i bought another to play games on. this is why e-bay works. not a lot of money and you get what you want. and if you try sometime you just might find you get what you need. thanks e-bay.

I definitely liked the price and knew the real value of the item since I had owned one before. Sony Playstations are a very good product line and anyone can appreciate games made for game consoles that are interchangeable upon upgrade. In earlier years, I had owned a couple of Atari's and a Nintendo. I had sold my Nintendo before finding out my Playstation had disappeared. The reason I decided to buy this one was to have something to play my games on that luckily were left behind. Now, if Playstation had a good Zelda game that was interchangeable with all the Playstations, it would make my day.
