Sega went in yet another direction with this release. Taking Sonic out of his usualy island world and putting him somewhat in a box as a pinball. The graphics are quite nice and live up to sonic's reputation of gaming. Playability is a bit of a bore unless you're a hard core pinball enthusiast, don't expect lots of levels or missions here. You've just got to bounce around. The sound effects and animation, are up to par and pass. Overall i give this a 4/5. :)
i bought Sonic Spinball a few weeks back and was very impressed about how quickly I received it. I like the fact that Sega Genesis is hard to find and I found one that works good.
I thought this game was good, and every now and then i will play it still to this day. I would give this a 8.5/10 though. It was never my favorite Sonic game on sega outside of the mian series. It can be challenging and lots of fun and keep you entertained for hours.
My son loves the game so much. He is 6 years old. We just got him a sega not too long ago. He wanted to start playing video games but the xbox and stuff was just too difficult for him. We got his this and two other games and I think its safe to say that this one is his favorite.
Sonic Spinball for the Sega Genesis is a pinball-like game with Sonic the Hedgehog as the ball! The gameplay is excellent for it's creation time, as all Sonic the Hedgehog games are, and if you learn a few cheats and codes, you can play with zero gravity or start with 9 lives instead of 3! In order to advance to the boss level and pass each pinball stage, you must collect three Chaos Emeralds, except the last level where I believe you need to collect either four or five. Though I have not yet beaten the game, I enjoy it's standard semi-hard difficulty that all Sonic the Hedgehog games have. This game can also be a multiplayer game. The graphics and music are great for the 1990's, quite advanced for that time, too. I am a Sonic the Hedgehog fan and I bought this game to complete my Sega Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog game collection. If anyone has a working Sega Genesis, I recommend purchasing and playing this game!

Pros: a great pinball game
Cons: poor presentation
Well since I have been reviewing non stop Mega Man games this month, decided to switch to the other blue hero, Sonic the hedgehog. Sonic Spinball seemed to be a good review, while it s not a bad Sonic game, it just doesn t fit in the great Sonic classic titles. While Sonic has some fun boards (or at least the first 2 are because that s has far has I have gotten before I have gotten the big Game over) it falls victim to bad presentation. Story. Dr. Robotnick has build a new base somewhere is planning on taking over the world again, Sonic is trying to sneak into the base when his plane is shot..

Pros: Sonic with a twist
Cons: Very hard, but IS that a con?
You are Mobian Freedom Fighter Sonic the Hedgehog. True blue Sonic. One of the greatest heroes in history. You need to try a new approach to defeating Robotnik this time around. You want to defeat him, sure, but you have to somehow launch yourself around obstacles through the air to save the imprisoned animals all over the place. I bought this one with something in mind: a changed, revamped Sonic. Take out the S from Spinball. This is just Sonic in Pinball. A great idea, and it sure worked for sega, and worked for me! 5-star ratings system- ***** is best, 0* is worst. Graphics= ***** That...
