This CD has many of the Trisha Yearwood songs that I love. She has an easy to listen to beautiful voice. She puts emotion into her songs and make them come alive. I would definitely recommend this CD to all of Trisha Yearwoods fans, and even to the newcomers to country music. I bought this CD at a fantastic price. I couldn't pass it up.
These are the the main songs that did it for her and brought her out into the front instead of just being a back-up singer. She has a distinct voice that is easily one of the better females in Country music. If you're a Trisha fan, this collection is a must have of her classics. Buy it, you won't be sorry...
This is a great collection of solid coutry tunes, by an amazing artist with a classic female country voice. Each song stands on it's own, and I am never even tempted to hit the skip button to move to a better tune.

A Chronicle of a Country Great: The Song Remembers When.

Pros: Some stunning ballads, winning mid-tempos and a collection of one of country's best. Gorgeous voice.
Cons: Too many duets and great songs left out.
Although I have admitted country music isn't my favorite genre, there are artists who have captured my ear and in doing so become one of my favorites. Trisha Yearwood is one of my favorite singers because she has an ability to pay tribute to any melody and her songs are poignant and moving. Pretty much any song she has done I have been able to relate to at one point or another. From her humble beginnings where she belted out "She's In Love With The Boy" to her more recent triumph featured in ConAir "How Do I Live" Yearwood's song hit the spot time after time. The album opens with her version..

A Songbook for MY Collection...

Pros: Has most of her earlier releases...
Cons: *sighs*...Only 12 tracks...
Trisha Yearwood is one of country music's brightest stars. Not only does she break the *traditional role* by, being larger than a size 6, she is one of the few women in country music I admire. Her *Songbook* CD contains 12 of her early hits as well as a duet with Garth Brooks. How Do I Live? This Grammy award winning song is from the Con Air sound track. Originally cut by LeAnn Rimes, the album producers weren't satisfied with her sound. So,they had Trisha Yearwood cut it, and voila, they got the maturity and emotion they wanted. A classic ballad, you can literally feel Trisha pouring...

Pros: strong lyrical content, eclectic, well produced without begin over produced
Cons: none, except maybe too few cuts
Its hard not to recommend this collection for anyone who loves great songwriting coupled with stellar vocal performances. For fans of Trisha Yearwood, this album is a must for your collection. Garnering accolades from artists and fans alike, "songbook" highlights Trisha's vocal strengths and shows a range that is truly eclectic. Along with her favorite producers, Trisha Yearwood has taken the genre' of 'country music' to new realms. Every song belongs in the category of 'best of'...my favorites include both the duets with country super star Garth Brooks, 'Walkaway Joe', and the song that...

Incredible

Pros: Trisha's best songs on one album.
Cons: None at all.
When Trisha Yearwood put all her best songs onto one album it was a stroke of genius. Instead of having to buy all her CD's, each having a favorite song of yours on it, now you only have to listen to one CD with all the hits. With her fantastic voice and beautiful music fans will go crazy. The album has catchy songs like "X's and O's", "Perfect Love", "She's In Love With The Boy", and "Thinking About You" give it CD a danceable, country quality. However songs like "Walk Away Joe" give it a relaxing, thinking quality. This would make a great Christmas present, birthday gift, or treat for...

Greatest Hits--Really True

Pros: It's Trisha Yearwood. She's great!
Cons: None. Go get it!
Trisha Yearwood has been put in the background for a long time. She's been churning out the hits with little or no recognition. She's finally come into her own with this album. Her Greatest Hits so far (although entitled Songbook). This has all the great ones. Including She's In Love With The Boy (her first number 1), In Another's Eyes (w/ Garth Brooks), and several others. She has exceptional talent which was proved (I think) when she took the Grammy away for "How Do I Live"--the soundtrack for ConAir, even though LeeAnn Rimes also was up for the same award with the same song. If you like...
