The Original, Disneys first and most loved film, if you don't own it you should. If not for your sake, if not for your childrens sake, then for the sake of your Grandchildren and theres, A DVD lasts Forever - it's like a dimond only cheeper and more entertaining. The true beauty of this film is in it's wonderful artwork and in the lessens it teaches, Like not taking things from strangers, the true worth of friendship, and that it is very easy to control a dwarf (not to mention make them your slave, they feed snow white and everything, I didn't see her pounding away i the old dimond mine....)

A DVD That Made Me Fall in Love With Seven Men...

Pros:
Outstanding art, great restoration, strong story, Villainy the way it should be

Cons:
None.

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" has always been the only Disney film that my Very Grumpy Father can tolerate. He's really not that bad, but he maintains that the studio hit its peak in 1937 with "Snow White," and has been churning out cheap imitations of that masterpiece ever since. I won't go that far. But I will say that the recent DVD release of "Snow White" has made me appreciate the artistry that went into the making of the film as I never had before. I've always thought it was clunky, there was no action, and Snow White looked so young as to make Prince Charming vaguely pedophilic.....

Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Began Movie Magic For All With An Inner Child~

Pros:
charming story of good vs evil; engaging characters; digital brilliance

Cons:
second DVD disc was mostly boring to me

"Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work we go!" Is that a German spelling of 'high,' I wonder? With my new DVD player working after adjustments, I have been treated to a viewing of the 1937 Disney masterpiece with all of its bonus features on two discs. I m not sure if I ever watched it as a child, but if I did, it couldn t have been as dazzling and wondrous as this time in digital clarity. Not only the dwarfs Diamond Mine, where they dug up gems all day, twinkled like a starry night, but the entire movie in its European storybook fashion. Disney comments in an extra of the DVD that he wrote...

Disney's First Animated Film is Truly a Masterpiece
Review created: 11/19/07

Pros:
Humor, songs, story, pretty much everything

Cons:
Snow White's voice

Over the years, Disney has overused the term masterpiece. Instead of reserving it for their popular films, they applied it to every animated movie they'd released, even the duds. But despite the overuse of the term, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs truly deserves the title. It is 70 years old this year, and yet it is still as entertaining today as it was when originally released. The fairy tale story is simple. Snow White (Adriana Caselotti) is a princess forced to work in her own castle. Her evil step mother is obsessed with being the fairest in the land, and Snow White's growing beauty is a..

Snow White is a Fine Woman

Pros:
Trippy, a classic, better animation than some of the crap around today.

Cons:
Snow White just can't sing.

Please excuse that title. Although I'm giving this movie a five-star rating, I can't exactly say I get a four-star enjoyment out of it. While I do LIKE Snow White, I don't find it some SUPER AMAZING film that I'd watch again and again. Its one of those movies that on the occasion, you just sit down and watch with your kids. In the midst of this, you can admire the scenery and the good animation of a film hailing all the way from 1937. Yes, it is that ground-breaking 1937-ness that gives Snow White a five star. As I said, I don't enjoy it like I do my favorite films, but I respect it- it was...

The One that Started it All
Review created: 05/26/00

Pros:
the first Disney animated classic

Cons:
Snow White's voice is REALLY high

Monumental in its time, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" paved the way for a long line of phenomenal Disney movies. Even today, over sixty years later, this animated miracle is as enjoyable as the day it was first released in the theaters. Snow White is a sweet young princess who lives with her evil stepmother. She spends her days doing menial tasks, dressed as a servant. But she is loved by all who meet her. Only the unrightful queen is not entranced by her charm, and she is so furious when her magic mirror proclaims Snow White the loveliest in the land that she orders the girl killed. The..
