Sniper Elite (Xbox)

The best sniper title I've ever had the pleasure to play. Good variety of missions and excellent game play!

I loved this game and could not stop playing it had me locked in. In fact i think im going to play it now..

I played this game at my brothers house a long time ago and have been looking for it every since. It is one of the most accurate and realistic FPS, first person shooter, games that I have ever come across. It is based during WW II and only has a catalog of the rifles used during that era. I think that most fasinating thing about this game is everything that it is programmed to take into account during a shot. For instance, your stance, your heart rate, your breathing, your shooting position(building, open air, etc.), and of course, gravity. The best shot that I have made yet was a head shot at 211 yards. Ask anyone who has played it, that in and of itself, really isn't that easy. The longest shot that I have seen anyone make was better than 1000yards. The game is a little gorey but, lets face it, the military act of sniping isn't really all that pretty. Bullets don't just tap people on the shoulder and ask to be let by. Anyway, it is a fantastic game and I recommend it to anyone who loves FPS game platforms.

Very good XBOX game. I've played it previously and re-sold it (now regretting it).
Some very good problems (how to get from a to b) and carry out assassination. good graphics, though somewhat dated by today's standards.

In my book, I haven't played a better pure sniper game.

For one of the hardest games to find, this was a game I highly wanted as a shooter. The graphics are poor, with enemies that look similar to playstation one. The sound is good with weather that gives a good environment. But the sniper play is AWESOME, with many adjustments accounting for wind, distance and heart rate, you'll be a true sniper in no time!!! The game length is extremely short though, but the maps are long, and constant use of your binoculars is a must to watch out for other enemies/snipers. I rate this game a 7 out of 10. enjoy!!!

This is possibly one of the most technically realistic games there is. I have never played a game that uses, wind, bullet drop, and physical factors. Very challenging, and alot of fun to play. I would love to see Rebellion studio's come out with an updated version!

I own Sniper Elite(Xbox) and play it on my 360 console with NO problems! The list of compatible Xbox games that can be played on the 360 is updated all the time so your review might of been true at one time, Thanks.

This game is about OSS stealth and crawling around a bombed out city. Hide in the rubble and pick up ammo as you go. It wouldn't be hard to make an Iraq version with modern weapons. Aim: One shot one kill. This is not a Halo mosh pit. Get surgical. Don't pick up the M9 rifle=No peripheral vision. Shoot and scoot to fallback positions on expert levels. Zoom out aim with sniper rifle scope then flip to MG-42 for street sweeping. This game game is not for you if you find killing Commies and Nazis objectionable.

Love the P.C. version and was hoping to be able to play against others on the xbox 360 with this. Although it is advertiswd as compatible with the 360, I find that it will only load so far and then lock up.

This is a good game but there is a misconception that it can be played on the 360 and it can not. Search the Microsoft xbox site and you will find info about the glitch. No fix unfortunately.

Great WW2 shooter, but unlike any other. Pacing is deliberate. No Rambo here. A must have for WW2 buffs and war-gamers alike.

SNIPER ELITE - this XBOX game is an excellent first person "shooter" game. Graphics and situation challenges are tops. It takes a bit of practice to obtain the skills for some of the options (i.e.-setting trip wire explosives), but once you have it down, it adds a whole new element to the challenges.

If you're into single shooter type games, this game is for you. Very detailed graphics and the story line is very entertaining. It's like experiencing an epic action movie, however, you're the main character. Kudos for the creator of this epic game and thanks to ebay for allowing me to purchase this game brand new for much less than the game store outlets. Again, you won't be disappointed with this product. I've heard that this version does not run smoothly on the new XBOX 360...

i love the action and the close veiw. the long range veiw leaves alot to be desired but it is true to the period equipment.

This is a very intense game taht will keep you going back for more.
You are the sniper,ammunition is limited so make every shot count. Be careful because the enemy appears out of nowhere.
I really enjoy this game I can get lost for hours. A great game!

I love this game! Playing either co-opp or alone, the game is one of the best games I've played in a very long time. I recommend this game to ANYONE who is looking for a great war game.

I enjoy games that involve thinking, strategy and stealth. Sniper Elite fulfilled all these for me. If you like running around and killing all in sight then don't buy this game. But if you like crawling, stalking and then "one shot - one kill" then you'll enjoy this game.

I was looking for a game that gives me one on many interaction and many "tools" (sniper rifles, auto machineguns, silenced pistols, frag grenades, and more). This game delivered. The only real "bad" thing I have to say about it is when it ends, it ends. I'd love a sequel or some more "side missions". Also, the cheats are limited and finding them isn't easy. Variety is the spice of games.....

I liked the graphic images and that you cannot hide for long or you will be hunted down by enemy soldiers.the missions play differently after your saves meaning that the enemy soldiers may appear in a different location.I bought this about a month ago and have played it through twice on different skill levels.As a first person shooter it is excellent although 2 of the missions were a bit tedious as I got tired of crawling from site to site while avoiding enemy soldiers that you were not allowed to shoot due to mission requirements.(Make a 'Hit" and the mission is nearly impossible to complete as so many soldiers appear from the barracks to track you down.Overall a very good game and I will continue my search for a war game that is as good as Full Spectrum Warrior and not lame games like Rise of a Soldier...Bob

This is a good game for someone who likes to be patient and look for the least confrontation. If you are patient and like to look for the perfect sniper shot this game is it. You still need to do some multiple enemy combat but if you play it right and have the patients you can be the true sniper. I enjoy this game very much and highly recommend it.

I liked most things about Sniper Elite: the style of graphics (war torn city, terrain, etc), sound effects (explosions, screams, gun fire), the physics (ragdoll behavior, bullet collision, etc) are just awesome in this game. This game really does make you feel list a lone sniper crawling and sneeking around very hostile environments. Because of that, every one shot-one kill is a pure joy. The bullet time camera effects never get old. Seriously!!! I must've done hundreds of great looking head shots and it still never gets boring. The only thing I really don't quite like about this game is the story. I must admit, the story is the only thing that kept me from buying this game for a while. I don't like the idea of playing an American sniper disguised as a GERMAN sniper trying to stop Soviet forces from getting the nuclear secrets. The whole idea is just stupid. I swear, there are some missions in this game where the main character is actually helping those Nazi bastards fight the Russians. WTF?!!!!!!! Then in other missions you'll only be killing the Germans. Basically, in this game, you kill anything that's not AMERICAN. Personally, I would rather be playing as a Russian sniper, like Vasily Zaitsev from Enemy at the Gates. That would've made a whole lot more sense and been actually historically accurate.
