Sneaker Freaker the book is basically a compilation of the first 4 years of the bi-annual magazine of the same name.
The writers have a real passion for sneakers and it comes across in every article. The book covers issues from 2002 to 2005, keeping the magazine style and layout. The book is easy enough to read, although the print feels a bit too small sometimes. The product photography is very good throughout and they make a point of covering old, new and future products and technology.
As it doesn't seem to be chronologically ordered, more grouped by the type of article, it's an easy book to pick up and read every now and then. There's no real order, so you can read the articles in any order you like! Just like a magazine.
From cover to cover, it's an excellent book that is a must read for anyone with any sort of relationship with high-end, rare or limited edition sneakers and sneaker collectors alike.
If you don't feel like spending literally hundreds of dollars to pick up back issues of this great sneakerhead magazine from Australia, this book is a great option. Even if your interest in the subject matter is limited, it's a great read and I predict you'll have trouble putting this anthology down. The photos are great, the writing style is very conversational and easy to read, and the layout looks great. Don't sleep.
