Snakes on a Plane (2007, DVD)

Just Accept it for what it is, Mindless action. If you look for anyhting more you will be dissapointed!!

This is the MOVIE OF THE YEAR... just kidding, but it's pretty good. It definitely lives up to the hype. The snakes are really well done and the there actually is a pretty decent story to this movie.

Samuel L. Jackson is awesome and so is the supporting cast. If you're in the mood for action and thrills this movie is for you. My only problem with it is that it's a touch long, could've been 85 minutes instead of 105.

Rent or Buy?: Buy this one for something to watch when there's nothing else on t.v. I'll buy a copy just to have a piece of cinema history.

ONce again, Samuel is at it again. He is a great actor and this is just another one of his masterpieces. Great find and great buy. I am a movie lover to the fullest.

Never a useless Sam Jackson performance, BUT rent it don't buy it. Digital effects have the ability to replace the actors, so now what?

Though this movie got bad reviews, it is destined to become a cult classic...Samuel L makes the movie, and the concept is just so out there. Funny and twisted, think Tarantino, but not quite.

I thought the movie was well thought out. It sounded corny before I watched it but after seeing the movie it seemed possible. At least it was good entertainment. Samuel L. Jackson is great and has great timing. I thought it was something I would watch more than once. I have seen it around 5 times.

It was very good. Although i think they wanted it to be a comedy/thriller..it was more of a comedy. Good acting..i watched it like 25 times haha =)

Samuel L Jackson is just perfectly best for this movie. He has the best reactions and some great taglines. Very hilarious. Good special effects with the snakes. I love the 3 G's lol they are funny too. Not recommended for kids because of the nudity in the movie. Highly recommended for snake lovers.

DECENT MOVIE ABOUT AN UNLIKELY TOPIC-SNAKES ON A PLANE. SAMUAL L. JACKSON PLAYS A GOOD ROLE (AS HE USUALLY DOES) IN THIS HORROR-COMEDY. WITH SO MANY REPEATS ON THE MARKET THIS IS ORIGINAL AND YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM CREDIT. NOT OVERLY SCARY OR FUNNY,BUT A BETTER THAN AVERAGE SHOW. GIVE IT A LOOK,JUST DON'T WASTE A LOT OF MONEY ON IT.

It was a very good movie. I liked it very much!!! It had very good action in it!!!! I like the actors that in it!!!!

... At the SDCC (San Diego Comic Con International) Last July before the movie hit the big screen.

We saw the preview, members of the cast, and the snake wrangler!

So we were prepared for what the movie would be like.

However the movie is so much better on DVD, and the bonus features are informative too on how the movie was made.

The gag reel was OK, the deleted scenes were interesting, and the snakes section, well... let's just keep them off the planes from now on!

The music video was OK... liked it better at the end of the movie credits.

The commentary by Jackson and the director Ellis was good to have on DVD,
makes having the DVD worthwhile for fans of the movie!

Samuel L Jackson knew how to work the crowd at the Comic-Con, and he
came across on the movie just as well !!

This movie is not for the squeamish, and that should be considered before
renting or buying this DVD !

My son, aged 33, is a 6'2" 220lb police officer, who is afraid of even the tiniest garter snake! I bought the movie as a joke for his birthday and it was a great hit! His tiny little 5 ft tall wife "made" him watch it and he said it was pretty funny. I wrapped the gift in paper covered with snakes and bats, another creature he is deathly afraid of!

I liked the movie but it wasn't one of the best ones that I have seen. Some of the plot could have been better. I bought it because i like snake movies. I am glad I bought it. I know of some that went and seen it that did not like it at all.

Samual L Jackson, Snakes, Planes, idiotic travellers, and venom. This mix turns into a match for a pretty entertaining movie. I know what your thinking....come on, for real? I wouldn't steer you wrong people, this is a dumb movie, but at the same time, you have to see it for yourself. I said it once, and I'll say it again....this is a pretty entertaining movie. Snakes Up!

Whoever came up with the idea or even the concept of this crap should be shot. This movie doesn't even deserve a review.

This was a movie that you couldn't fall asleep while watching. Very action packed, held my interest through the entire movie.

I had rented this movie for my kids and they loved it so I decided to buy it from ebay and I seen you had a good feedback and I purchased from you you were very fast service and fast at answering my questions thank again.

Well if your a snake lover this is your movie cause there is every kind of snake you could think of turned loose on this plane some I didnt even know that existed .

At this point in time everyone knows how Snakes On A Plane came to be – a few movie execs were joking around about the worst pitch imaginable, the title came up, the internet blew it sky high, New Line added more sex, violence and bad language and voila. With so much hype around the movie there was no possible way that it would live up to everyone's expectations but even with (or, perhaps because of) the movie's huge plot holes, stereotypical cookie-cutter characters and insane logic gaps, the movie turns out to be a perfectly enjoyable action-horror hybrid. High art it is not, but it's a great beer and pizza movie.

While Jackson's screen presence and penchant for chewing through even the thickest of scenery are reason enough to give this a look, the best part of the movie is the creativity and complete stupidity of the snake attacks themselves. You wanna see a couple who smoke a doobie and try to join the mile high club get attacked by snakes? You got it. Why not have the snake chomp down on her titty while you're at it! Maybe a guy should go to the rest room and take a leak and a snake should jump out of the toilet and bite his wang... yep, they thought of that too. Snakes are all over this plane, biting women in the eyes and fat black dudes on the ass with reckless abandon. You've got big snakes, small snakes, in-between snakes - snakes of many colors, shapes and size are all here, and they're all biting people like crazy.

If you're the type of viewer who wants realism in their cinema, Snakes On A Plane is not the movie for you. Even if you're able to suspend your disbelief easily enough, it's hard not to scratch your head wondering why certain characters do what they do or even how exactly the snakes got on the plane undetected in the first place. There are so many flubs in the film that it's hard to keep track of them all, and nothing really happens for any logical reason here. The characters are all stereotypes of some sort (with Jackson playing the stereotype of himself) and the dialogue and actions of these stereotypes play exactly as you would expect them to. That being said, Snakes On A Plane is a lot of fun. It's a big, dumb trash film that works in elements from disaster movies, horror movies, and action movies with plenty of darkly comic touches. The end result is a sort of tasty can of cheap genre stew. Not something you'd order at a fancy restaurant, but a tasty meal of a movie that warms your belly and which satisfies your hunger.

My Family like to have movie night with scary movies specially my mother in law, and daughter. The movie arrive fast the only complain is that does not have a hard case to protect the movies.
