I will not be able to be an impartial reviewer on this cd as I have been a Rush fan since 1980. With that being said, if you have heard or seen Rush live you know they strive to replicate their songs exactly as they recorded them. The only difference between the live version and the studio is the crowd and arena ambient sound which will on occasion drown out some of the intricacies of the music. They are professional; they come out and play and don't do a lot of talking.
There are about six songs on this cd from their newest album which is an exceptional work. All and all, these guys are some of the most talented rock musicians out there. If you like the excitement of a live performance you will enjoy this one. However, if you want to hear the technical nuances and the true crispness of the music try getting the studio version.
