Well it was for hubby. And we like it, we have a dislike for it to cause the song that we thought was not on it. The cd was something that he wanted.

AMAZING!!!
Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet" album has always been one of my favorites! This new remastered version is just as good as the original. In my opinion this is one of Bon Jovi's best albums. This album features many of his number one hits... "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Livin' On A Prayer", "Wanted Dead Or Alive" just to name a few.
I hope that Bon Jovi sticks around and continues doing what he does best. He has earned every bit of respect that is given to him. He has a huge fan base ranging from teenagers to their grandparents. That, to me, is the sign of a great musician.
This album is a great representation of Bon Jovi and the great talent that he has. Any true Bon Jovi fan must have this album. Any true late 80's/early 90's, big haired, acid washed music fan must have this album.
Worth every penny!!!

Discovering Rock n' Roll With Bon Jovi (WIAB W/O)
Review created: 04/16/03
by: lambchops-- a member of Epinions and Lead in Music

Pros:
Entertaining songs, some of the best of "hair metal"...

Cons:
Sometimes over produced and brainless...

Mrs. Laitner, my music teacher, walked into my classroom with two vinyl singles. For the next two weeks, we as students were expected to learn the melody and words to two currently popular songs. The first was Lean on Me by Club Nouveau while the second song was the one that would change my life forever. For most of my years, I d been sentenced to endure bad 60 s and 70 s country music on 8-track. Not because I enjoyed it, mind you, but because my parents had approximately seven thousand of them stashed away (okay, maybe the number was closer to 100, but it may as well have been that...

Bon Jovi says, "Raise Your Hands". I say, "Let It Rock".

Pros:
Great production. Killer melodies. Ammusing Lyrics.

Cons:
Some songs aren't very memorable.

If I am known for anything, it is my unhealthy love for good ol 1980s rock n roll. And it has come as quite a shock that I have neglected to review anything by the band, Bon Jovi. Until now that is. That s great kid, but why the hell is it so darn important to review a Bon Jovi album? Why? Well, to me, the band embodies all that was hard rock back in the 80s. Over the top solos, melodies, arena chants, keyboards

This Freak Proudly Proclaims That She Really Is "Slippery When Wet"
Review created: 06/26/04
by: Freak369 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
A handful of really impressive tracks

Cons:
Some that are so generic they deserve no title, just the word song on them.

Regardless of what you think of Bon Jovi, there is no denying that in the past the groups has contributed some pretty impressive songs to the annals of music. Their early stuff was seasoned with a raw and fevered pitch that set the bar high for other groups seeking success. While some may dismiss the group as over the hill rockers, when they were at their peak, they were a true force to be reckoned with. I wasn t one of those completely obsessed fans that screamed at the site of the lanky and long haired Jon Bon Jovi or other less notable band members but I do confess to owning every single...

I Wonder If Keri Is Still Jealous...Where It All Began W/O Baby!
Review created: 04/16/03
by: MattA75 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
loud, catchy, and anthemic in every respect

Cons:
none

Strap yourselves in, this is gonna be a long one... When the very talented music category lead lambchops came up with the idea for the "Where it all Began" write off, I knew immediatelyI was in, even if I was gonna have to cheat. The idea is to review the very first album you bought, no matter how embarrassing, how awful, or how cheesy. There's just one problem: I honestly don't remember what the first album I bought with my own money was. It could have been Poison, it could have been KISS, or it could have been Tone Loc or GASP, even New Kids on the Block (oh how desparately I wanted to fit..

Big Hair Band Write-Off--The Van Halen "Wannabes"
Review created: 10/22/00
by: sparkospunky -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Solid 80's style rock n' roll

Cons:
They wannabe Van Halen

This review of Slippery When Wet is my 200th on Epinions, and I am very pleased to make it a part of the write-off organized by my good friend and manager, Wolfman309. Besides myself and Wolfman309, the following people are participating in the write-off: Phibes69 Cutiepi Evansec Kristinafh Cerdo Dazedcunf Teddiec Bon Jovi has always been a band that has perplexed me. Their talent was immense, and their songs had a quality that really stuck with you. My problem is that I get this really strong feeling that this band is trying its' best to be Van Halen. Maybe I'm placing too much emphasis on...
