I have always loved the story of Sleepy Hollow and the Headless Horseman. This movie brought that to a whole new level. Starring Johnny Depp (as Ichabod Crane), Christina Ricci, and Christopher Walken (has the Horseman). I just love the story line and the way it was played out in this movie. Everyone knows the story but Tim Burton twists it like I never would have thought before. Great special effects and acting. Christopher Walken was perfect for that role! This is a great movie that everyone should watch.

These were great people to deal with. I received my BRAND NEW DVD quickly, the price was very good, there was no damage to the item and the movie was excellent. Johnny Depp at his best as usual.

I love this movie I have alway's liked this story so when they made it into a movie I had to have it. I own it on VHS and I just had to have it on DVD for my dvd collection. There is nothing that I dislike about this movie.

Wow - Tim Burton and Johnny Depp - excellent together yet again. The supporting cast is excellent too with notables like Richard Griffiths and Christopher Lee. The special effects are cool and scenery breathtaking. Please watch it, you will not be disappointed.

Ah, I can remember when this first came out on VHS, I went to blockbuster with my grandmother and purchased it the first day.
Now everybody I know tells me that I look like Johnny Depp's character Ichabod Crane.
Based off of Washington Irving's famous legend, master storyteller Tim Burton has outdone himself this time.
I couldn't tell you one complaint about this film.
Also, a neat little fact many don't know is that Casper Van Dien (Christina Ricci's character Katrina Van Tassel's love interest) is related to the actual Van Tassel family in real life.

Love it. One of my favorite movies. So happy to get it. It's one of those movies I can watch over and over and over again. Great cinimatogrophy, great actors and what can I say, I love to hear ghost stoies especially late a nite.

This movie has it all for me...stylistically, it's gorgeous to look at, there's enough gore to make it interesting, it's historical, and it has Johnny Depp! It's a throwback to the old Hollywood horror movies with intrigue and a few plot twists to keep you guessing a bit. It's a favorite in our house!

Awesome movie Sleepy hollowI love johnny depp and christina ricci. She is an awesome actress and plays the part so well. The movie has a very good plot and the digital effects are more than expected for this film. The quality is thrilling and is very suspenseful.

Sleepy Hollow - Everyone knows the story. This one is not a children's movie though. The set-up for this plot is great. The only problem is that the set-up is better than the pay off. Still a good movie.

Sleepy HollowI wanted a halloween flick that I could watch on halloween. The movie of course was pretty good in my opinion, that is the reason why I purchased it. I actually want the disney "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" but since that film has not been put into a dvd format I purchased the Sleepy Hollow starring Johnny Depp.

JOHNNY DEPP and TIM BURTON!!! A great movie pairing. Depps character was truly inspired. He is one of the few truly imaginative, innovative, fearless actors we have or I believe ever will have. His insight into a character never ceases to amaze me and the way he looks at the world leaves me envious of his vision! Tim Burton has a knack for making interesting films that are surprising in their depth and texture! Christopher Walken as the Headless Horseman was a masterful piece of casting that paid off in spades. Is a great film that can be watched over and over again.

I like the movie because JOHNNY DEPP is in it and like always, does an AWESOME job. Some of the movie is gruesome, but yet cheesy at the same time. Like when the headless horseman cuts off the victim's head, it seemed too,.... Computer Generated (of which of coarse it was), but you could TELL it was. In the other hand, it made it not so gross... I bought it because Johnny was in it. They did a great job making it a creepy movie, but just enough that the people who don't like "too creepy" (like myself)would still watch it. I believe it may be a new tradition to watch the night (or DAY!!!) before Halloween.

This was an okay movie. The special effects/ costumes/ scenery are wonderful and the storyline departs from the original tale in some interesting ways that make the story a little less predictable and give it a more "modern" feel. These are the things we have come to expect from Tim Burton, so if you are a fan of his work you will not be disappointed. Although this is listed in the horror genre- I didn't find it at all scary. It was however a bit (unneccesarily) bloody, so I wouldn't recommend it for the younger set. Also, this "new and modern" version of the storyline has a big emphasis on witchcraft. I'm not a big fan of that...
In this film Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) is portrayed as a forensic investigator in New York, who aspires to modernize the 18th century judicial system by investigating crimes from a scientific standpoint (rather than accusing and prosecuting the poor, those w/ a poor reputation or just anyone off the street). [I agree- it's a lot to swallow in the first 5 minutes.] His beliefs are not readily accepted- in fact they appear to tick off just about everyone in NY- so he is sent to investigate a series of murders that have been taking place in the remote village of Sleepy Hollow. Once there, he learns that the townspeople believe the murders have been committed by a headless horseman. Being a man of logic he refuses to accept this, instead insisting that murder can only be committed by those of flesh and blood and he sets out to discover the true identity of the killer.
