Sleepless in Seattle (2003, DVD)

It's just about the greatest movie. Very relaxing, true to life with nothing profane or sexually explicit. Yet it captures your attention and the music is wonderful. It's a "must see" movie and also suitable for family viewing.

This movie is one of the must haves on anyone's romantic comedy wish list. Drawing inspiration from another of the best romantic dramas, if not the best, "An Affair to Remember," Sleepless in Seattle leads you to believe in magic again.

This movie is timeless and you will want to watch over & over. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks have great chemistry together.

I bought Sleepless in Seattle because I used to have a copy of this movie but it was lost. This is one of my "go to movies" (love Tom Hanks) - plus Seattle is my home town, so it's always good to get a look at it, even through a movie! I can't think of anything I dislike about this movie or the process of purchasing this copy. It was shipped very quickly...always a good sign.

I bought this DVD because this is one of my favorite movies. It was a great buy and was much easier to find a good price on ebay than to run around from store to store or check ads out to find a good buy.

This is the film that you will repeat watching it over and over or i will say once in a year because of good story although it only a fantasy but the character of the movies and actor are really fun to watch.

A "chick flick" that makes even burly men cry. Its sentimental, and romantic and not the kind of romance that makes you want to hurl either. Man looses wife, man moves to new city, womans about to marry nice wrong for her geek, woman hears widower on radio, widower and woman meet, son pushes them to get together, they fall for each other in NY on the all to familiar empire state building and its happily ever after! Bring kleenex and espresso!

A BEAUTIFUL MOVIE WITH A GREAT ENDING. ....MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD ALL OVER....GREAT ACTING AND A FINE JOB OF WANTING IT TO END JUST RIGHT

My Daughter wanted it for Christmas. We all have seen the movie at least twice and she wanted to add it to her library.

I bought it as a present for a friend, and the DVD works just fine. Shipping was fast, and DVD was completely undamaged.

Sleepless in Seattle is a good romantic comedy. That's about all it is: good. ok. alright.
Although Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are both wonderful and attractive actors, their talents could have been put to much better use.

Pros of Sleepless: Great acting and adorable actors (for the most part), good music, an interesting and original storyline,

Cons of Sleepless: A very annoying little boy played by annoying and ugly actor, a unrealistic storyline, it is not very romantic and not very funny, and it has a VERY disapointing ending!

Sleepless's ending is so disapointing, (They don't even kiss!?) and the story doesn't have much chemisrty or romance because the two lovers are only together for 2 minuetes out of the movie! they don't even know eachother!
In short this is not a very romantic or funny comedy, and the presence of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan is the only thing that keeps it from being a total loss.

Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks play single adults, a newspaper journalist and a newly-widowed father, on opposite sides of the country who find each other by chance and by purpose.

SLEEPLESS is a candid fulfillment to both romance and comedy. It is true to the sense of how we often meet those relationships in our lives...some by chance, some by application. The writing is invaluable and each character is beautifully developed. Ryan and Hanks are genuinely the woman who is worried about making the wrong choice and as the single father reluctant to move on. Rosie O'Donnell lends a beautiful and honest portrayal as Ryan's BFF. Maybe that is because her blatant regard reminds me of my best friend I am so grateful to forever. But that is part of the beauty of this film, so many bits and pieces that remind us of our own lives, friends, and loves.

SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE is a cute, sweet romantic comedy on the surface and entertaining in this right. However, there is a timelessness in the hope and intimacy in every scene provided by every aspect of the film.

After wearing out my VHS copy of this film, it was time to move on to the DVD, especially because I was anxious to see any bonus features.

Sleepless in Seattle gave me a feeling of home. The characters in the movie made it believeable and gave me the impression of what or could happen if you lost a loved one. And is it possible to find another love? Only the person involved would ever find out. I rated this an excellent movie and was glad that I was able to purchase this dvd on e-bay.

Pleasant, satisfying romance...Partial to the setting in wonderful Seattle, our former home -- and our sailboat was in the movie!
