A great old musical. Fun to watch every now and then. Very affordable in vhs format. This tape was brand new, still sealed in cellophane.

I Loved Everything About It! I previously owned a recorded copy and lost it in a housefire and had been looking for a replacement. I was so excited when I found it on EBAY and at a reasonable price. Thanks to EBAY,I have been able to replace almost all the movies and books I lost in the fire.

I bought it for my mom. She loves musicals. I decided to buy it from ebay cause it was cheaper. We looked around here in my town about getting some musicals they were going to charge $20.00 for them. I came here and looked for some of the old musicals she liked and was very impressed with the price and cost of shipping.

A musical served up the old-fashioned way: big, colorful,tuneful, and with big stars. This musical has such beautiful,well-known showtunes such as "Ol' Man River", "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man" and "Make Believe", with classic MGM stars such as soprano Kathryn Grayson and the always gorgeous Ava Gardner to sing them. This movie revolves around life on a Mississippi showboat, run by a couple with a daughter named Magnolia (Grayson) who starts romancing the worldly Gaylord Ravenal (Howard Keel). There are tough issues to deal with: slavery, gambling...gambling, distrust...and touching moments ...
