This book grabbed me in the first few pages and kept my attention the whole way through, a nice change to some of the books I've read in the last few years.
I had a feeling I'd love it after I had read RIVER GOD, the first in this series about an Egyptian slave, Taita, his owner Lostris, and Tanus, a great warrior, set against a masterfully written view of history set in the Egypt of 4000 years ago.
This installment takes us to the present day, where the scrolls Taita left behind have been found and they tell of the tomb/treasure house of the pharaoh that many will kill to find. The twists, the turns, the dangers and just sheer adventure make all the books a great read, this one especially.
