Seven (2000, DVD)

It has been about a month after i ordered the movie and still have not received it. I ordered it May 7th and saw on my account it was sent out May 11. It is now June 9th and i have not yet took it into possession. Last time i ordered an item it was prompt with delivery. I just don't want to be giped.

when i ordered the dvd, Seven, i had no idea that i would get the collectors edition. the cover is awesome and the seller let me know that it was coming. i do enjoy ordering dvd's and try to order atleast 6 per month.

this movie was fantastic, especially towards the end. the ending to this movie was one of the most riveting endings to any movie i have ever experienced.

This is a very interesting movie, The story line will keep you glued to your seat. I like the combination of Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, the work well together. I wouldn't recomend this movie for children.

Easily one of the darkest and most unique thrillers made, Seven takes its time unfolding it's story for us. It teases and taughnts the viewer in the same way as it does the homicide detectives played by Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt, that have to unveil our story for us.

With no lack of twists and turns this an adept screenplay that knows what you are thinking and expecting so it will go in a different way just for you. Sometimes gruesome while laying out the clues, with fantastic performances from a top notch cast and an ending that nobody ever forgets, Seven is a marvelous ride to a very dark place!

The dvd arrived quickly and the product itself is in excellent condition! This is by far my favorite movie and I'm so glad to have it in my collection!!

Seven. Wow, what a great movie. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and will shock you. The ending of this movie is not only surprising but one of the best I've ever seen. You should buy this!

its a very very good movie, seen parts of it on tv and wanted to buy it and see it uncut they cut alot of it out on tv brad pitt and morgan freeman did a real good job with the movie it kept you guessing thought out the whole movie

This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing until the very end! I have never seen a movie like this. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman do an outstanding job in this movie!

The movie condition, when I received it, was excellent. The movie plays very well. It is in it's original packaging. The item was shipped to me in a very timely manner, and in good condition.

"Seven deadly sins, seven ways to die" is the tagline for this intense psychological thriller directed by David Fincher:

~ Detective Sergeant Mills [Brad Pitt] is set to replace Detective Lieutenant Somerset [Morgan Freeman], a world-weary cop retiring after years on the force. Somerset can see no end to the harrowing crimes he has witnessed, the sickness that is the City. Dealing with murder, rape, abuse, and poverty has become the Lieutenant's life and he now hopes for some small shred of peace. Mills, on the other hand, is new to the city; he is arrogant and brash, having little time for Somerset's thoughtful and analytical techniques.

As retirement beckons, so a new spate of killings begin. Like it or not, Somerset is given the investigation by the Captain [R Lee Ermey] while Mills is put on a different case. The murders are soon linked to the same killer - a twisted genius who chooses his victims based on the seven deadly sins in Dante Alighieri's 'The Divine Comedy' - and Mills and Somerset are paired together once more.

Despite their clash of personalities Mills and Somerset strike up a good partnership, Somerset's introspectiveness and Mills's self-confidence turning out to be a useful combination. Each one learns a lot from the other; indeed, Mills's wife [Gwyneth Paltrow] thinks Somerset is a good influence on the husband she is rapidly growing concerned about.

It soon becomes apparent that the 'sins' killer is playing a deadly cat-and-mouse game with the detectives, enjoying watching them either stumble or succeed at every turn in the case ... while he continues to kill according to the seven deadly sins: gluttony, greed, sloth, envy, wrath, pride, lust. They must stop him before he can finish his murder spree and most probably disappear forever ~

Se7en is not only the most accomplished film by David Fincher [Zodiac] but almost certainly - from a writing and directing viewpoint - the best psychological thriller in the history of film and television. There are none of the stereotypical clichés found in countless thrillers of violence, no room for the predictable, for the viewer is kept constantly in the dark until the very end. And the climax is both ferocious and awe-striking ... for once Hollywood kept the outcome a secret until the day of release, not an easy thing to do.

Whatever vision Andrew Kevin Walker had before he took his script to screenwriter David Koepp [Secret Window] was ultimately realized once in the hands of David Fincher. Fincher's dark and rain-driven sewer, his city of sins, has yet to be matched on film. His choice of cast was spot-on. Se7en is a true classic, crossing genres like crime, horror, thriller and police procedural ... dark and moody, harrowing and painful, Se7en will appeal to the darker side within us all.

It is and excellent article if you liked seven this is a most have it includes deleted scenes and alternative endings, this is one of the best movies ever, great performance by Brad pitt and Morgan Freeman.

this movie was recommended to me by my cousin.........it's incredible. I think it's a must have for anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers/horror movies.

If you enjoy a plot that continuly seems to snow ball then this movie is for you. It starts out with Morgan freemans retirement and Brad pitt to take over his place on the force. But as the murders become more and more linked and complex, Morgan freeman stays on the continue to the investigation, intrigued and afraid that Brad Pitt's character doesn't have the skills to continue on.
Kevin Spacey offers a new insight into a complex killer and offers a new look into his amazing acting skills.
Although it is a rather bloody movie, the story and plot is amazing. I find myself caught up with the emotional turmoil in Brad Pitt's character and Morgan Freemans inability to let go. Once and cop always a cop

First of all, Brad Pitt is great, even though you can see a similar character in all of his movies (and he makes your girlfriend wish you were him). I find something funny about his quirks. But this movie is a masterpiece, that will have you guessing whats coming in the next scene. The cast is excellent. I'd pay more than I did for it. Good for different tastes in music, but I wouldn't watch it with your kids. A+. One of only 17 DVD's I own. In the company of Pulp Fiction, 2001:A Space Odyssey, and both Kill Bill's.

i went looking for the dvd seven and could not find it in any store around my big city (philly) home town. even looked for a previewed copy at stores that sell used videos nada. i wasted gas, phone calls and most important time! i went on ebay and found many copys in all formats vcr-dvd etc. in a moments time i found the one for me, a special edition extra footage 2 disc set used for under $12 shipped to my door wow! i enjoyed my dvd. the great thing about ebay is, time saved finding what it is i am looking for and having it arrive at my door.

A perfect film in every manner. Nail biting, scary, horrific. If you love psychological thrillers this is the sure fire movie for you. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are great together and Kevin Spacey is magnificent in his potrayal of the ultimate villain. This movie will have you on the edge of your seat till the very last second of the movie.

I bought this movie for my daughter as a birthday present. She loves thrillers & had seen it on television but really wanted to see the original & since it is an older movie I was having trouble finding it but was thrilled when I found it at such a great price on ebay. Unfortunantly the seller was having problems with his paypal account & asked me to send a money order which I did but the movie still has not been received. I have contacted him several times to see if he received my payment with no response so I felt I had no choice but to open a dispute. I have had many wonderful & satisfiying transactions with ebay but this wasnt one of them.

Se7en is one of those trendsetting movies whose influence can be seen a decade after its release. Where do you think Saw came from? The mood, the brilliant killer playing with people's lives - who lives, who dies? It all goes back to Seven.

A serial killer strikes people he deems the embodiment of the 7 deadly sins. A cop on the eve of retiring and his replacement track him down in a gray city where it constantly rains.

Excellent acting by Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey. You even feel for Gwyneth Paltrow (as the wife of the new cop) as she struggles to adjust to her new surroundings - and not doing a good job at it.
The script is smart and violent. The atmosphere is tense and gritty, the city is so gray you can feel the cold and the rain.

Highly recommended but it is not for the squeamish. Lots of gory images and violence.

This is an outstanding movie with a great DVD. The box is very unique and interesting. I haven't seen the features yet but they look really good. Try this movie out, you won't regret it. It's really cheap now too.
