MK has had some incredible success writing for the cinema; this is a terrific collection, and wonderful for me to have on in the background when I am working at the computer. A must for Mark Knopfler fans!

Pros: Wonderful music
Cons: Some tracks from the movie "Cal" sound a little repetitive
The best way to describe "Screenplaying" is: pretty. Its a very gentle album featuring some selected music from Mark Knopfler's movie scores. The album brings to the fore Mark's amazing ability as a musician; shattering to pieces the myth that all he could do was play guitar and make poor attempts at singing. The tunes were chosen from the soundtracks to 4 movies which, were not necessarily Oscar material. The only movie that enjoyed a reasonable amount of popularity was the medieval romantic comedy, "The Princess Bride" directed by Howard Reiner and starring Robin Wright (the first "Kelly...
