Scary Movie (2000, DVD)

The funniest of the franchise so far!!!

Scary Movie is original, funny, and doesn't go too far over the top.

The cast is great, and the parodies are on the money. The Wayans really did a great job creating a spoof horror film.

David Sheridan is great a Doofy, and Anna Faris is hilarious as Cindy Campbell. The Wayans brothers are funny as well and Cheri Oteri is Hilarious as Gail Hailstorm. Carmen Electra and Shannon Elizabeth add some much needed eye candy.

Rent or Buy?: If you're a fan of horror films (especially slasher films) you'll love this movie. It get's almost everything right, and even the stuff it doesn't get perfect is still hilarious.

this is an awsome movie that i think everybody should watch at least once in their life. it is hilarious.

It is what I enjoy....Dumb movies. They do not require a lot of thought but are entertaining. I also like spoofs. This is a good one.

Movie just too corny, have a very limited base for overall DVD/VHS collection and this would definately not be one of them. The content of the movie overall was poor and the spoof factor very weak, would not watch or buy again, thank you and you have a nice day

This was such a funny movie! I like the spoof-type movies anyway, but this was the best I had seen yet. The Wayons brothers are hilarious,as are the rest of the characters. I think it's alot of fun trying to guess which horror movie each scene is based on!I bought Scary Movie 4 shortly after it came out, and just recently decided we should have them all in our collection. I found that if I just keep checking, I'll eventually see the movie I want on ebay.I don't think I've paid more than five dollars for any of them. This was a good deal for a great movie in excellent condition!

I like the way the Wayan Brothers put this movie together. It shows spoofs of various horror movies and it will continue to make you laugh. it is an enjoyable comedy. these guy are excellent at the various levels of comedy they can achieve in the films. recommended for all that want a good laugh, need to watch with parental guidance for those under 15 years old.

I thought this would be a really scary movie because of the title. I guessed wrong and this movie is hilarious! Totally the opposite of what i was thinking. Relating to scary movies, this movie is not even close to scariness. It's a satire for sure.

Recommended movies next to watch: Scary Movie 2 , Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4 and there could be a Scary Movie 5 released sometime in 2008.

Overall Grade = A+ for the laughs

Other than the unnecessary lewd sexual scenes scattered throughout the movie that the Wayans Brothers like to throw in, this movie is totally hilareous and the parodies are done with insite and intelligence. The Wayans Brother really do not have to do that in order to get laughs, because they are extremely talented when it comes to comedy.

This movie is fun, especially if you like movies that make fun of other movies.

Scarey Movie? NOT!!! Stupid? YES, about as Stupid as they come!. I rented this, and feel that it was a total waste of the $$$. I know this was suppose to be a farce, they went to the extreme to OVER DO IT!

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM ONLY BECAUSE I HAD IT IN MY COLLECTION OF DVDS AND I GAVE IT
OUT TO SOMEONE TO SEE AND THEY LOST IT. SO I THOUGHT I WOULD BUY IT USED, BUT IT WAS NEW AND AT A REALY GOOD PRICE AND I HAD AN E-BAY ACCOUNT.

A very enjoyable comedy. I had seen ScaryMovie3, and ScaryMovie4. They were total laugh fests. I wanted to get #1 and #2 to complete the collection. Am very happy that I did. Any fan of horror movies will love the parodies of their favorite movies that are woven together into each of the ScaryMovies. The two actresses who appeared in all four movies are excellent. Anna Faris and Regina Hall are purely perfect not only in ScaryMovie, but in all three sequels. If you saw any of the ScaryMovies...be sure you have all four in your collection.

I was very pleased with this product. Although it was only in a slipcover, the product work fine. It was a christmas present and the recipient had no complaints about the quality of the picture on this dvd.
