Saw II (2006, DVD)

SAW II brings Jigsaw back with a VENGEANCE!!

Sequels usually don't live up to their originals, but SAW II does that and more...

Jigsaw is BACK, so is the Music and the Mood. SAW II still offers the Jigsaw factor and the whole "Live or Die" complex that he brings, but it has a completely different feel to it.

Instead of two captives there are eight, all trying to find their way out of a deserted building. Jigsaw has set up quite a gauntlet of gruesome tests to see which captives deserve to live and which are better off dead.

Due to a larger budget, SAW II has more effects, more gruesome death sequences, a better set, and a larger cast of actors and actresses.

SAW II is more action packed than SAW I and less suspenseful, but that doesn't make it any worse than SAW I. I love the way SAW II is presented, and that it isn't the same format as SAW I.

One thing to keep in mind, this is an R-Rated movie for a reason, and if you thought the first SAE was gruesome, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Rent or Buy?: Definately BUY!!! I would've given it a 6/5 like I did SAW I, because it is that GOOD. But I felt that SAW I being the innovator deserved the extra rating point.

On a side note, make sure you watch SAW I before watching SAW II.

I am a horror/gore fan so its easy for me to love the Saw series. But even if you are not a fan of horror and only watch these type of movies rarely, Saw is great.

Saw is not just a run/chase, kill movie, it actually has a concept and a clear plot, every victim is a victim because of their own deeds; they are never murdered by some "serial killer," but instead kidnapped and given only two options, to choose life or death by their own actions. This may mean killing someone else to save your own life, or letting that person live and sacrificing yourself.

These movies are deep, and the elements for a great gore movie are present! I cant wait for the box set.

The "Saw" series has brought about a new twist to horror movie mania, and I love it. It's not your ordinary scary movie. What did I like about it? It kept me on the edge of my seat! I thought Stephen King was good, but he's got some competition in the movie area. Why did I buy it? the same reason I've bought or am buying the rest of the series--you can watch these again & again and find things you might not have picked up on the first time around. AWESOME!

i love this movie! It's a great suspense movie! I don't think there is anything i don't like about this movie.

This movie will have you guessing what's next... Put all the pieces together and wha do you get? Mystery, suspense, sadness, excitement and bloody... Recommend this to all horror fanatics out there...

Great movie my kids wore out my first copy I'm glad I could fine another copy for them It came quickly and in excellent condition I would recommend this way of purchasing movies to everyone

gotta love the saw movies there really really good they need more movies like this 1 movies are so different anymore but this is like movies before 9-11. understandably movies really became flaky i wouldnt go to a theater for nothing but now there coming out with good stuff again i love it

This movie was a must have for my son and he had to have it. We looked for it everywhere and couldn't find it. Since it was a item on his birthday list, we needed it in time for that day. Finally we found it and started bidding. We didn't want to pay to much and I always consider the shipping with my bidding limit. Considering he wanted all 4 of the Saw movies the cost of any of them staying reasonable ensures that I would be able to afford all of them. We won it for a very resonable price and the shipping was very resonable. I spent less then I exspected and my son enjoys watching it.

I loved this one it was almost as good as the first.Well worth the watch and to own. This is an awesome series!

Very intense, it seems to get better. A good trilogy package, you need to get
all four movies. I have one, two, and three, I need to get one more, number four. I'am not really into horror films, but this one had me going.

In this movie, you have to watch it all to understand the whole meaning to it. In the end of the movie you would know whose behind this. It's very intense. Of course there's blood in this movie. Now there is someone working for jigsaw, and it's not over yet!

i really liked saw 2 more than the original saw. i really loved the ending. if you did not like the first saw and decided to give up on it, please rethink your decision because part 2 is awesome!

at first I thought it was 'lame' but my wife purchased saw & saw III. After watching them in succession, it all "came to light". When watching them all like that it put "all the ducks in a row". We decided we wanted to add them to our video collectionafter my sister rented saw III and left us watch it. I guess ANY series is better when you can watch them from start to finish to 'keep up' on the story.Great addition to our collection!What REALLY helped me to enjoy the movie was I went out and REPURCHASED the same movie only in FULLSCREEN from Amazon.com! Just can't stand widescreen, myself!

excellent movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is even better than Saw I which is in my video collection. Best time of horror/suspense movie because it makes you think. Cannot wait to add Saw III.
