Ironically, it's priced less than the iPod Nano

Sandisk must have been brave. They introduced a MP3 player right in the middle of the iPod Nano hype, with similar dimensions, and similar market targets. In reality, the Sansa is exactly the same size as the Nano, being only 3mm thicker, and a bit rounder than the iPod rival. And what do you get for that extra 3mm? Well, a whole lot really.

For starters, you get a much larger screen, that not only displays your normal MP3 functions, but is also for playing your videos. Yes. Load up the Sandisk-bundled CD, and you have a 3rd-party program that converts all your favorite videos into a format readable by the Sansa. Mind you, the screen really isn't cut for a movie flick, but it's more than enough to show your friends what you caught on YouTube last night. Besides that, the brightness is also adjustable, rather than a simple on/off. Make it brighter in morning for legibility, turn it down at night to save power.

Sound wise, the player is great. As you know, Apple players just aren't cut for the bass sounds. With a expensive set of Shures, Sure, but then anything will sound powerful with the Shures. Even with the good quality earbuds that Apple supplied (which works well with the Sansa) the bass still manages to sound closer to flactuance. With the Sansa e200, it's a different story. Pretty much any buds will sound great with the player, including its own. The EQ works rather well too, it doesn't seem to consume any more power and it gives me my bass. Rather than saying "Sounds are rich", I'll just cut the crap and say the Bass is great, vocals are good and the treble is awesome. You can't go wrong with that.

Using the Sansa e is like using an iPod, but change all the white backgrounds in the screen into pictures and a whole ton of settings for you to personalize your music experience. Same story with the controls, except you get mechanical components rather than a touchpad. Touch is cool, but sometimes it lacks feel. And if it's for looks, the translucent ring wheel on the Sansa glows deep blue while you use it. Looks good to me.

The ease of use is one of my favorite things about the player. Rather than being ONLY compatible with iTunes, Sandisk made it easy so you just drag and drop. You CAN use Rhapsody, Windows Media and Napster, but you can also just open the music folder and dump everything into the player with a simple click and a drag. The player also works the moment you plug it into the computer. Drivers are not needed for windows XP and above.

The fact that you can expand the memory is a nice touch. With a MicroSD/TransFlash slot on the side, you CAN buy small now, and expand it later on when you run into more money for the memory.

Lastly, none of that extra thickness was really used for achieving any of the above. The extra thickness was only for the better; it helps enlarge the battery compartment, which is home to a very juicy rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that just doesnt seem to run out of power. And the better news is, you don't need to pay Apple hundreds of dollars to replace it. Loosen the screws on the metal backing, and you can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost.

And with all of that, you pay... less than the Nano.

So, if you've missed the iPod bandwagon, it's ok, because it's an expensive ride.

Really, the price just doesn't justify the functions that Sandisk managed to stuff into this thing.

It's small, black, and comes in sizes of 2, 4, 6 or 8Gb's.

Who needs an Apple nanoPod when the SanDisk is available?
No problems with display durability, easy to use, FM tuner
included, you're not stuck with iTunes. It's the greatest!
Got it as a birthday present for my wife, and she loves it.
Now I'm getting the 6Gb version for myself.

  FREE iPod Touch

Get a free iPod Touch!!! Have a look at this video first:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFKYVE__Mug

I know that YOU do not want to spend YOUR MONEY on this expensive product. Please just take 2 minutes and read this. This is very EASY to do! It literally takes 10 minutes to setup. Simply follow the steps below. I promise you, this is 100% real. I wouldn't jeopardize my eBay account status if this was a scam. My feedback is real and I will answer you on any question! Here is what you do. Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is the easiest) and complete just 1 offer (Very important that you complete the 1 offer otherwise your account will sit in limbo until you do). This is not like other sites where you need to complete one offer on 2 or 3 different pages!!! And a lot of these offers are FREE trials with nothing else to buy...No commitments!!!

There are plenty of cool offers to choose from such as Blockbuster online, Stamp. com, Netflix, Gamefly which are services you would regularly sign up for anyways and their all secure networks, why not use them to get a free iPod or cash (I did the Stamps. com for a 4 week free trial and it is free!). Look at the offers and choose the one that works for you. After signing up and completing your one offer, simply refer 5-13 people (depending on the FREE prize you choose) to do the same under your link (just post the same thing as I have on eBay, and you'll get your referrals before the auction even ends.
)

Then they will ship your free iPod Touch or your selected item for free, I chose the iPod Touch. No Joke, 100% REAL!!! The reason these companies make money, is because most people don't bother getting all the referrals. All you have to do is post it on EBAY or any message boards, blogs, face book, my space or any place you hang out at. ! They use us as advertisement by word of mouth which saves them tons of money which goes toward yours and my free gift. These are legit companies such as Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly etc... You can copy my listing if you want. You must use your own authentic link though. You will get your own personal link after your orders placed.

Step 1: Copy and paste this link: http://www.YourFreeVideoiPods.com/index.php?ref=5404326

Step 2: Sign up and chose an account type (Referral is the easiest and best).

Step 3: Complete just 1 offer (like Blockbuster or Stamps. com) and refer up to 13 people to do the same (use eBay! Do what I did, copy my ad).

Step 4: Receive your iPod Touch or Other Electronics for FREE!!!!!!!!!! (Even The Shipping Is Free!!!)

Please take advantage of this offer!!!

Check It out NOW! Copy and paste this link http://www.YourFreeVideoiPods.com/index.php?ref=5404326

Want something better than this for free?
Review created: 09/17/08

There are two ways to get an Ipod Touch, spending money, or spending time. Have a look at this if you're not sure about it :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFKYVE__Mug

I've already got 2 Ipod Touch 8gb from Trainn (the enterprise behind this) last year and I'm getting another one. I won't lie here, I need you to get it, but please read. If you want yours, just follow the instructions I give you, it takes a little bit of your time but if all goes well you should get your own

Ipod within a few months. This may seem longer than actually getting the money to buy one but that's money you save and if you're like me and don't have money to spend for those expensive things, you might want to do it this way.

To make it clear, you register through the link I give you, you choose refferal account type and you complete an offer. Don't worry, the offer you're completing is for you and for me, you'll only need to do one offer.

Most of the offer sites are "commitment" which will let you try a service for a few days than charge you each month. That's how they make money. All you have to do is be aware and remember to cancel the thing before they charge you. But if you don't like having to pay attention that much, you can just do a one time pay for offers like Care Bears products for 10$. Yeah you pay 10$ and you get an Ipod Touch, that may not be free but don't you think 10$ is cheap?

And if you don't like Care Bears that much, you can send them back their crap and they'll refund you.

After that, the hardest part for you to get your Ipod. Refferals... You'll need to get 5 to 8 people to complete an offer like you just like you did. Talk to friends (if you have some) or do as me (it doesn't mean I have no friends).

It's not that hard and it's pretty useful if you don't have the money to buy one.

So please register with this link and complete an offer.

http://www.YouriPodTouch4free.com/index.php?ref=4632625

And if you still have a hard time believing me. Just search for "Trainn Proof" on google. Trainn is the name of the enterprise letting you have free stuff. I'm not some lame spam bot or anything, I'm a real person and I have bought things here on ebay, just look at my feedbacks. If you have any question just message me here or on my e-mail tomatoshadow@hotmail.com . If you want to see the photos I took of the Ipod Touchs I got last year go there : http://s128.photobucket.com/albums/p166/tomatoshadow/Free%20Ipod/
Anyways, thanks for your time!

Comes with video, music, and pictures. Has an extra memory slot. This is a great mp3 player. Also has other functions. Not as stylish as an Ipod but better on terms of what it can do.

  SanDisk Sansa™ e260 (4 GB) MP3 Player
Review created: 09/11/08
by:
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The e260 is a serious competitor to the iPod nano, and i picked Sansa.Let me tell you the reason why. With a lower price, larger screen, integrated FM tuner/recorder,Mic, better battery life (20 hours to the nano's 14hours ), a MicroSD expansion card slot to add another 4 gb ;) . . . Easy user interface ,which supports many languages, make e260 a very attractive choice. There are some issues that need improvement - the buttons could be a little better, its start-up time could be a little shorter but overall the e260's finer points outweigh its defects.

Worked for a total of about 6 hours, just enough time for me to download all my music and pics. Got the "blue Ring of Death" (see Sansa blogs) that is apparently common in refurbished models. I did like it during our brief time together.

  Forget aboout the iPod
Review created: 08/27/08
by:

I purchased this product after seeing it in a Christmas flyer. Why did I purchase this product? Well for many reasons: reliable company (SanDisk: huge manufacturer of memory and storage), features (FM radio, voice recording (both not on the iPod), capable of playing movies and photos, different bass settings for the music, and more), affordable pricing (around $120, but I got it for $80), attractive (according to SanDisk, the back cannot be scratched) and the front is a shiny, sleek black, and the ability to expand your memory with a SecureDigital Mini card slot (whatever it's called). The cons? Not much really: front is a fingerprint magnet (I recommend getting a protective case), dust can get into the screen easily (again, protective case), buttons are sometimes kind of flimsy, not great for viewing photos, and ditch those headphones (they are of horrible quality)!

Look no further! Grab a product from the e200 line today!

  Easy Upgrade
Review created: 08/09/08
by:

This memory chip was a great buy. I'm not very mechanically inclined and it took me about 15 minutes to swap out the memory chip on a Sansa e250. The unit works great now. The only thing I would recommend is good lighting and a strong magnifying glass. The parts and screws are very small. I highly recommend buying this memory even if your mp3 is working good, it is not a bad idea to have a back-up. It's an easy installation.

I like this brand mp3 player. Easy to load music onto. What I don't like is how hard it is to delete music off from it. Other than that, there is nothing bad about it.

  Sansa MP3 player

I bought a refurbished Sansa MP3 player to replace a lost one. I saved over 50% and I cannot tell this is not a new player. The sansa is very easy to use, and I use it with Bestbuy Music store (Rhapsody). I am going to purchase 2 more of these since my Best Buy Music subscription comes with 3 device allowances.

  SanDisk Sansa™ e260 (4 GB) MP3 Player review.
Review created: 07/09/08

1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I love my Sansa Mp3 because I could load all my cds into it. Which was easy to carry about now. I am not afraid now that I will lose them or desroy my cds. I find it cheaper than local stores. I bought for my wife and one for our friend. They are all enjoying it.

I did not buy Ipod because I felt it is too expensive.I was not going to buy an electronics for $400 especially in this changing world of Electronics. I have to be smart with my money. This Sansa mp3 player is large enough to accommodate 1000 songs. That is right for me. I might need some thing bigger latter becuase I want to download Bible (various versions) into it too. I am not sure if it will take it.

I tell my freinds to buy from ebay. Some are skeptical because they are not sure if it will be delivered. I tell them to look out for items with return policy so if the product is defective they can always return it. They can always make their complain to ebay. Ebay will listen. I have not had any problem yet with ebay. All sellers have been wonderful. I appreciate every one of them.

You must know what you are looking for. Do not bid for things you do not need. Do your home work. Then you will enjoy ebay. Ebay is great. Earnest

Product was in excellent external condition. I was able to repair it at minimal cost and I was able to give it as a present to my nephew. This player is a great MP3/MP4 player with memory expansion capabilities up to additional 4gb of memory which makes it a great product. This is a sandisk product which if you are familiar with sandisk they have superior Flash Memory Products. I very much recommend it.

This Sansa satisfies me with following deatures
1. External slot for macro SD
2. FM radio
3. Recordable.
4. Easy to transfer data between device and computer
Generally, product looks great and the audio is wonderful.
Two issues those I don't really like
1. Turn on the device, it takes time to refresh the database
2. Scrolling control not quite comfortable

  Great for teenagers!
Review created: 07/02/08

The SandDisk Sansa E200R series is an excellent value when paired with the Rhapsody to Go service. With two teen girls whose musical tastes and artist preferences are constantly changing, I don't have to purchase music files that have a shelf life of a few months max. They can explore different genres at will without breaking my bank. Plus, why follow the iPod herd mentality when you can get a player that's just as good, much cheaper, and doesn't lock you into Apple's proprietary format? I liked the 2GB units that I bought my girls so much, I bought the 4GB model for myself!

Ok, spend your hard earned mioney for a IPOd. Or, the Sandisk E260 will do everything an IPOD will do for about 1/2 the price. Easy to use controls, easy to load, and long lasting internal battery. I stepped up from a E130 for the extra storage...Mine was reconditioned, but works perfectly!!!
