Pro's - Price/performance ratio, low glare level, very little flicker even at low brightness levels, anti-glare treatment doesn't distort image, wide viewing angle (vertical and horizontal), relatively consistent contrast across a wide range of brightness levels, size/resolution works well with Windows set at 120dpi and ClearType enabled, but still tolerable when applications (like Web browsers) do not (or cannot) utilize the 120dpi fonts.
Con's - One VGA and one DVI-D port (two DVI-I ports would offer more flexibility), minimum height is about 5" from desk surface (too high), on-screen menu structure is horrible (Samsung needs to take a lesson or two from their competitors), only one set of custom settings, stand could be a little more sturdy, packaging does not protect monitor very well if handled roughly by shipper (so ask for double-boxing), included software is buggy and doesn't work very well when Windows is set to 120dpi.
Why did I still give it an Excellent rating? - I can use it 10 hours a day and experience very little eyestrain - Much less so than with any other monitor I have used in the past.
The Samsung 214T has stunning color, exceptional graphics quality, and works great in a Dual-monitor environment. I loved it so much I have purchased 4 of them and plan to buy two more.
